Better to get Box spanner head of...8 , 10 , 12 , 14 , 17 , 18 , 20 , 22 , mm heads and one Ratchet handle for same(bi directional rotation )the heads will cost about 65 to 75 each and handle 150 to 350 depending on quality...buy combination spanners of same size with ring at one end and open spanner head at the other..and one each of star and flat blade screwdriver of medium duty.Totally will cost you about 1,500/-.

I'm sorry for coining the word 'focus', it was just an adjustment of beam.

You'll not need to remove the fairing for adjusting the beam (position) but for changing the headlight.

(Its not my bike, just picked this from net and added pointers.)

Just now ran down and checked in my bike but I cannot find it. Is it below the instrument panel? Where exactly? Below the tacho? And how will our screwdriver fit through here as it is very cramped in this place. Or should we access it from below the fairing?

Right now it is raining in my city, so it is hard for me to click a pic. Even otherwise would wonder if I would get a clear shot like human eye does.

                    Follow this:

                    1. Are you able to see the back side of the headlight from the seating position, by looking underneath the handlebar/instrument panel?
                    2. Now, take a torchlight or mobile flash light and bring it closer to the area. I'm sure you'll find the screw. Also, it's better to have a long star screw driver. Hope this helps!

@Amit: Sorry to ask you, have you done before? If yes, add your points if I'm not making sense while elaborating.

                        Make: Philips Premium
                        Bulb type: H4
                        Watts: 55/60w
                        Price: Rs.75-85 (depends)
Modification: Not required, the stock set up works.
Benefit: Good low beam and spread out high beam.

This bulb is also known as Maruti 800 stock headlight.

                        Procedure:

There are two star screw bots and under the cowl 10mm bolt which box spanner will help undo the fairing. Change the bulb carefully by removing the rubber cover which helps protecting from water getting inside before removing the holder. Then you'll need to undo the clip holding the bulb to take it out.

Note: Never touch the glass nor it's tip. Always hold the bulb by the bottom.

I would suggest you to take it to mechanic and watch him and learn.

                        From PSR tutorial.

Yes Sriram...I have adjusted the beam earlier.I didn't know it is the HL adjust screw, I played with it and I realized its use only after focusing on the trees . You have provided enough explanation.
OT: Raining in chennai...nice to hear that .Must b a relief for you guys after the hot hot summer.

@MAXzma : The place is really cramped, you can either try with a long X screw driver or a absolutely smaller one. I suggest you to test it during night to evaluate the results properly.

@Vishakh : Please try to remove pics when you multiquote, Your above post just has 2 lines but the multiquotes filled the whole page.Just a suggestion mate !!!

Try Philips first, its cheap. Check with your circle if you happen to see any bike running ONB and proceed as it is expensive.

ONB must be available in International tyres,Gopalapuram. They are the Motul distributors as well.

Thanks Amit. Right now not looking for ONB. I know that office. They are Goodyear and Michelin tyres dealers and the office above which happens to be his elder brother running Goodwill Agencies an authorized distributor for Motul.
