I had a minor crash last night. While riding along at a merry 70kmph, a dog came trotting into the middle of the road. I honked and slowed down but he didnt budge from his place, and that I didnt expect. I couldnt stop in time and his muzzle got in between the front wheel and the right lower fender. He shrieked and got out. Luckily, he wasnt hurt and was back sniffing at the same place again
My bike, however, has a chipped middle fender though and a weakened horn. My questions:
1) Mizbah mentioned that the right upper fairings are being replaced for free for bikes without a mesh. I dont have a mesh. So can I get the chipped fender replaced? I mean, has anyone got a damaged fender replaced so far?
2) I'd like to replair whatever is wrong with the horn myself. So, any suggestions before I go D-I-M(do-it-myself)? Its sound is weakened, Im guessing its just a case of a disturbed horn.

you can hardly get parts and we are talking about free replacements ??? .. anyway let me know if anyone got the right fairing replaced .. I have a spare one at home that is a bit scratched.
I guess I haven't told anyone that my bike is an all new colour combo.

do you know what is the total cost of the front fairing of r15 including the side panel....
can we fit that on fz16..
actually I've got two options...
either buy r15 and trade in with the alloys of r15 for the alloys of fz16...
or buy fz16 and then buy the fairing of r15...
actually price is my concern...
and r15 being the costliest indian bike.. and above my budget I can't think of buying...
so the better would be that I go for a fz16 and then get the look of r15 on it... and fz being a yamaha machine will not mind getting the makeover of r15...
what you say guys...
kindly tell me the price of r15 complete fairing...if you know ...

Contact "saudjawed" to know the cost of complete fairing but I doubt you can fit it on FZ. Also FZ looks very good with what it is and there is no need to put a fairing to improve the looks.Originally posted by rohan View Posthi frens,

Dude u r just gonna mess up a really good machine , FZ16 is aircooled as compred to R15 which is liquid cooled....so adding R15 fairing to it will only heat up it's engine and besides it will never get that original look or sportiness of an R15 , R15 is a sportsbike whereas FZ16 is a street bike and looks good naked rather than faired..........so i would advise just drop this idea as u will end up paying loads of money to modifier and u won't be satisfied at the end either.Originally posted by rohan View Posthi frens,
