I even got a dyno jet reading of the power and torque, where i could see 15-20% increase in low end torque n power. You can Get more info about this technology on net. I saw 1.75hp increase at the rear wheel

        • A friend of mine was having this problem..

First of all fuel was stolen from his bike. Next the thieves went on to, somewhy, rip off the wires from the battery's terminal..

Result is that the wires need to be changed.. But the issue is this:

Everytime the wire is connected to the terminal, the bike starts cranking.. There's no fuel so it doesn't start but the cranking can't be stopped no matter what..

          Any suggestions?

          • Guys,
My pulsar 200(2007) has completed 31000kms till now. So far a pretty good experience apart from the chain noise and skidding problems.
Skidding problems is solved by changing tires to pirelli but still sometimes i feel nervous while taking sharp u turns.
Will replace the chain sprocket set after the monsoon and that will sort out the chain noise.

Last week i gave my bike for service with a local mechanic. They changed the brake piston, brake pads and also bearings in cone set..so overall cost came around 800rs(including labor, waterwash and general service).
Bike was good when i took it from the service centre.Took it for a 500kms trip which includes 50kms of ghat driving. Now there is a lot of noise from the engine.
Checked with two mechanics and both of them are saying its a problem related with bore and piston. I think its too early for reboring..I guess for most of the bikes it will be around 80k mark or more (correct me if i wrong)
I have maintained the bike well and also using Motul synthetic oil from 10000kms.not sure what might have gone wrong.
I remember reading in the manual that says engine warranty is for 5yrs. Will this come under warranty and also will they be ok with my last two services from being outside?

Today evening, my Pulsar 200 got a thorough wash, after which, when I cranked the engine, there was an odd sound, like steel plate brushing against steel. The local mechanic told me that water has entered the CDI. Then he proceeded to clean the CDI with petrol. After this process, when the bike was cranked again, there was no problem for some time, but then after 5 min of riding it, the same kind of sound emanated, but with less intensity. However, this time, the sound came only at rpm below 1.5 K, at any gear.

I am really worried about my bike which was functioning absolutely smoothly in the last 2.5 years, with no problems whatsoever.

I hope its nothing to do with the K&N filter/ Avenger 180's stator coil plate.

                      Thanks in advance.

I guess this mechanical sound you mentioned, came from the roller clutch, this can be heard at the time of cranking the engine just after the water wash(some amount of water manage to enter that chamber and the plates start slipping), also could be possible worn out of roller clutch, they are supposed to be replaced in the 10,000 service.
                      Cheers

What happens when you press the starter button? Did you try push start the bike?
