It has run 20.5 k on the odo, and I get it serviced every 5000 km.Originally posted by Veeral View PostHey jhonny...
Are you regular on servicing ?
Sometimes normal tear and wear like clutch plates, sprocket, tappet settings can affect FE. So make sure you are servicing it in a proper intrval...
I have done 63k+ on odo. Running on joeld mods. I get somewhat 30-35...

The clutch plate looks okay, but the sprocket and the tappet make some audible noise.

Re: Pulsar 200 DTS-i
I guess p200 forks are thin than p220's. Correct me if i am wrong.
And the fork's stem can be replaced ? I mean the silver rods which goes in nd out of forks. Mine has rusted a little.

Yes P220 has 37mm forks. The silver rods are the fork stanchions, I don't know if they alone could be replaced or if you would have to buy the entire fork leg.Originally posted by Veeral View PostI guess p200 forks are thin than p220's. Correct me if i am wrong.

Guys der is a serious problem in my Pulsar 200 DTS-i (2008 Model). Recently i had changed total electricals of the bike including Digital console, BCU, both left n right switches, RR unit, Stator coil n wiring harness. The problem is that while running, the small bulbs of headlight, meter lights n L-R Switches light starts flickering even when the light switch is off. I again changed the right switch thought that it would be the main cause of da issue but, then also same problem exists. The sai service guys are also not able to make out the exact problem of it. Please Help.

dude there is no problem with the bike, the bike has AC/DC electrical system!! it will flicker because its not a complete DC setup, but if your saying its not happening when the ignition is turned of, why did you change the entire electricals and not check the battery first?Originally posted by shoaib786 View PostGuys der is a serious problem in my Pulsar 200 DTS-i (2008 Model). Fellow Bikers need your help. Where would I find a silencer for 2007 P200 in Pune? And what would it cost? There's a metallic clang I get from my 6 year old bike and my mechanic tells me the silencer needs replacement but is not readily available currently! If I can't get one from Bajaj parts dealers, what are my options / alternates? My bike's done 41K Kms so far. How long can I continue driving without replacing the silencer?

Same metallic clang sound coming from my silencer too. It is actually of the converter being damaged. I consulted my mechanic at Baja service center, they said it is ok. No need to change the silencer as it won't effect the performance or the pollution norms.
New silencer is costing Rs. Around 9000/-. I'm in Indore, this is the suggestion I got from mechanic and that's what I shared with you. But sorry mate don't know where to get the silencer from as it is short of supply over here also. There are two types of people in this world, people who ride Motorcycles and people who wish they could ride Motorcycles.
