Congrats. If you havent faced any specific problems then you do not need to change any parts, but routine changes include Disk pads, if u havent got them changed before, Front fork oil change, new cone set, Air filter element and Spark plugs

And other things like tyre changes depend solely on the condition they are in, + the chain sporcket set goes around this time. mine went kaput by 27300 kms.

Now one day suddenly my bike stopped so i showed it to the bajaj service center they told me that they had the change the head and the piston as there no use of rebour becoz it just has a diffenece of 700 to 800 between new and old one.So i got it done now .Now it is running properly .They put an normal mineral oil for the engine oil.

        Now the issue is
1.my bike engine and the sparkplug gets heated up since i am new to bike riding i dont know whether it is normal or not .The Bajaj guy told me it is usual only but still i dont cant trust them .Please suggest

2.I drive daily about 60kms .So is mineral oil good or should i switch it to another one . which one ???please also tell after how many kms does the engine specified should you goes...

3.The bajaj people told me that my carborator has gone completely but some how they are cleaning it every time and giving as i am not ready to spend Rs3300 now (for carborator).

Also please tell me if CAstrol Bike Zone Tidel park in Chennai is a good place for getting my service .or any other good place.

        Thanks
Get a 2nd and/or 3rd opinion as to why your carb is being termed as spoilt by the SVC guys. . . There has to be a reason for them to say that

Under run and up untill 5K kms it is recomended you use mineral oil,

thats why i bought all electrical things already in advance.
Well i never know that these parts will go off so quickly.
Pulsar spares are quite costly. 600+ for LHS switch .
Fiero was much cheaper to maintain.

I went to PBK to ask about the chain issue. They said chain is gone and needs to be replaced.it just ran 6000kms but it needs to be replaced.
PBK mechanic says chain needs to be rightened and cleaned every 100kms to increase life.
I am not sure why they have adevertised it as maintenance free chain

I am getting lots of wrist pain riding this bike.I find this quite tiresome to ride in tight traffic. Is there a way i can change the riding posture so that less weight falls on shoulder and wrists?
Is it possible to increase the height of the handlebar?
Is it possible to fit a clip on handlebar if yes, will it be reduce the load on wrist and shoulder?
          Please do suggest.

I change every 10 K as it is recomended, this ensures longer life and saves a costly replacement, the guy who u asked seems way off, leaking??? If you wait till it starts leaking it will almost be like go to the hospital after stabbing yourself. . . . get the irony. . .

signs of Cone set ageing will show under braking, u will not find the front end of the bike behaving in a uniform way. . .it will be jerky and in some cases might emit a tik-tik sound. . .

Y are you complaining so much about your ride man? Get a OKS chain spray from PBK SVC and spray the chain every 200 kms or so. . .ur chain will run for over 22k kms, i can vouch for that. . . and FYI Bajaj do not market this or any other of their chains as maintainence free. . .

U can fit the 180's or the 150's handlebar as well. . .its a direct fit. . .

                            • Urgent advice

Had an accident last week, along with other parts my silencer recvd heavy damage and has got pased for a change by the insurance comapny. My SVC here in Panjim (Goa) have told me they will put the 220's silencer as it comes witha nut and bolt for the silencer guard and is better than the revett system that comes on the 200's

I want to know the following
                              1. Is there any difference in 200's and 220's silencer's specifications internally.

                              2. Should I press the SVC guys to only fix a 200's silencer.???

Urgent help needed from some Pulsi experts here. . .

                              Thanx in advance

I have seen 200's with the nut-bolt combination in place of the riveted one found on most models.
The 220 Dts-Fi silencer does not have a catcon, but 200/220 carb does.
I think the silencer is designed specifically for the engine, so ask for a 200's silencer only. If it is not available then try out the 220's silencer, may be a bit freer-flowing than stock.
Of late the spares are getting hard to procure here in Delhi, maybe the situation is all over the country.
