even i get 68kmph on 5000 Rpm.. guess the other dude has changed his tyre.. or else some other modification.. but a stock 200.. won't give that result.

Well, My Unmodified P180 gives 66 ... strangely not much difference?

Anyways, sorry for the OT ...

The speeds start differing higher up the revs.

              • has anybody experienced this peculiar "wobbling" of the bike when the tyres are warm after a long high speed run??... the bike tends to feel as if its on skates! a lil shift of weight and the bike is happy to do a figure skate step out of line and it almost instictively iduces a feeling like you're gonna get the rear all out and skid...

anyone get it?? I've noticed it most after completing a long stretch at over 60kmph on the highway when goin to work and back.

This feeling stays for a while and then disappears.. i presume when the tyres are back to normal?

@Abhay: The service center people must have already changed the engine oil. Moreover, please check the tuning of the bike. They must have changed it, that might be the reason you are feeling your bike has changed it's character!

                      • Castrol Bike Zone is no doubt good. As for using Motul lubricants, I have, after 8000 odd kms. shifted to the Motul semi-synthetic engine oil - Motul 5000 4T. Although, I don't quite feel any significant difference between the service center engine oil and Motul, but the gear shifts have surely become even smoother!

As for getting that 'old charm' back, your bike is just 5000 kms. odd old; so I would think there is nothing really seriously wrong there. Just take it to the PBK service center and ask the mechanic there to perhaps tune the bike back to what it was before the third service. And then post the experience here, if you find any changes.
                        :)

its pretty obviuos that there is a tuning problem with your bike...take it to PBK and get it tuned properly or else go to some other mechanic..as for the oil,i myself switched to Motul300V fully synthetic oil after 2500kms and trust me this oil is really damn good...the gearsifting became a lot of smoother and loss of power after long rides was minimal.....you can give it a try....but first get the bike tuned...
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

                              • ^^ what he said. They often screw around with the tuning on sched servicing. I learnt it the hard way after the third service.. chewed their brains out till they set it right again. After that my repeated instructions every time i got it serviced was "DO NOT TOUCH THE TUNING"
