Hi Guys,
Over this week-end I took my P200 for a casual ride and was spinning at speeds of 115-118 on the speedo.
After the ride, when I got back, I checked the exhaust and there was soot deposite on the exhaust mouth.
So, just wanted to if this is normal at high speeds or there is something to worry about!!
Your suggestions are very appreciated!!

I have a source from Bajaj and i was told that 200 is stopped from the production line as 200 & the new 220 has only marginal difference in cost due to which if they manufacture 200 also they wont be able to sell the product!Originally posted by kirankoti View Postrecently in news it was stated that the P220 was now available with carbed engine at a lesser price along with the Fi version

Any suggestions to my query guys.....??Originally posted by csajal View PostHi Guys,

With all due regards to the fellow members, I think this thread is for the ownership experiences about the P200, so that members could share their views about the bike and help each other out if any member is having any query or issue. But off late and specially after the release of the new P220, this thread has metamorphosised into something else.
I've no bitterness for any fellow member, but after seeing the posts after I posted my query, I just feel "WHY SHOULD I VISIT THIS THREAD ALTOGETHER!!". There are many P200 owners country wide would might be visiting this thread as a guide, but off late I'm not sure this thread has been of any help to them

Dude, Chill man!!!! I was behind this for quite sometime and found no replies from fellow 200 owners. Infact i Pm'd the mods asking them whether all our members can post the images of their 200's so that there will be some sort of excitement and the mods also agreed and the first post of pics and the bike data was mine and no one so far has showed interest upon the same and i tried souping up the thread but of no use and moreover u can't force anyone for the same. I'm too waiting for this thread to be as active as the new 220 thread.... Lets hope for the best!
btw: regarding the soot deposit, it's normal if ur fuel is kind of adulterated and that is carbon deposit that is there in the silencer mouth. Try changing the petrol pump.. u might find some difference.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. U will always be remembered brother, R.I.P Arun.

OK.. my attempt at bumping this thread..
7 month / 4500kms Ownership report:
Apart from a few complains I have with the ownership experience, I must say my 200 is doing a pretty good job!! Returns a decent 41-42kmpl. Decent power for a 200. No mods. Have removed the "face" off her
Didn't like the headlight fairing.. infact the way i see it.. i think the 200 will look fantastic without any headlight..
but I need it coz of practicality!
My 200 used to play "dead" with me every once in a while. The PBK guys took a pretty long time debugging the issue and they weren't sure if they had fixed it. The bike used to just not switch on.. Finally they figured my fuse had given way...
So far it has been a pleasure owning the 200... Looking forward to taking some time off my work and clocking some serious miles on this bike...
leaving you all with a pic of my 200..

Thanks!
here you go!
It looks wierd at some angles and looks good at some. I prefer this to the stock fairing.. Brickbats anyone?
Guess it is an aquired taste.
OK.. technical question -
After how many kilometres (approximately) do the clutch plates usually need a replacement? Prior to buying the 200, I had heard things like Bajaj's clutches do not last. Got mine checked last weekend. They seem to be doing fine.
Anyone experiment with any kind of performance clutch plates here? Imported maal and all? Just curious of how serious does the performance trip on the 200 gets..
