        Bike: Pulsar 200

        Year of Manufacture: 2007

        Kilometers run: ~20K

        Parts Changed:
        1. Front Forks (Twice)
        2. Frame
        3. Starter motor
        4. Speedometer (Twice)
        5. Headlamp fairing
        6. Handlebars (Four times)
        7. Tail piece
        5. Bulbs (Twice)

        Mods:
        1. K&N RC1060 (Removed)
        2. NGK G-Power Platinum Plugs
        3. Reverse pattern gearshift (One up four down)

        Engine oil: Motul 5100T 15W50

        Likes:
        1. Tractable power supply
        2. Usability in the city
        3. Refined delivery
        4. Great on the highway
        5. Decent fuel consumption (~45kpl)

        Dislikes:
        1. Heavy and cumbersome
        2. Large turning radius
        3. Uncomfortable for pillions
        4. Tricky tires
        5. Knobbly gearshifts

            It's not a big deal at all, you can do it at home, there are two connecting which connect the gearbox to the gear-shift lever, just flip the nut at the head of the first connecting rod which comes from the gearbox upside down, and the shift pattern changes. It's more for comfort and preference than anything else

              • Ideal price for a 14 month old P200

                Hi guys,

                Well, i'm thinking on selling my 14 month old Bajaj P200 DTSi as i didn't use it as frequently as i thought i would, in fact till date it has clocked just close to only 2100 kms.

                The bike is in superb condition with no scratches/dents anywhere whatsoever, always serviced at Bajaj PBK.
                The insurance is done upto June '10.

                So what should be a ideal price i should let it go at?

                    • Aryan sir should i start useing castrol 90 grade gear oil for the chain ...I have done 1000 +km I think the chain is becaming dry due to daily rain !!!! and what is the time period should I use like in a week and what about the quantity ?????

                        I had started using the Castrol 90 Grade gear oil as soon as my first servicing was over. I have been using it every week, once (on Sundays). You can use it to lube the chain nicely, but do take care not to over-apply it or it would spray onto the mag wheels, as a result (which is almost always the case with me ).

                          AFAIK P200's are notoriously undervalued, even with the Bajaj guys, quote 50K regarding the condition your bike is in, as the starting price, you can also PM Sandeep K Ram who had previously a P200, perhaps he'll be able to give a clearer picture

                            What is the kind of mileage expected frm it??
                            Can anyone plz explain why is the oil cooling unit essential for the engine??

                              125!!!!! The stock size is 110, the classic pulsar 180 uses a 118 i think. Your mileage will be TERRIBLE!!!!

                                'the pulsar 180 ug3 comes with a stock mainjet of 117.the pulsar 200 definetly is bigger
                                A karizma comes with a 125.
                                So can anyone confirm the main jet size of the p-200
