Lazy sunday Afternoon.. Had a lions share of lunch -mutton, chicken..♡♡.After lunch was feeling bored. Thinking what to do😥..
Walked upto the bedroom window and peeped out at my "Avy boy"..
He was looking eager for a quick sprint.. "ohh how could I say "no" to you my baby"
In next 10 mins we were out in the country roads, enjoying the zig-zag state highway.
    Route taken - Mangalore-Bajpe-kateel-Mundkur-Belman-karkala bypass-Belvai-Moodbidri-Mangalore
My Love and trust towards Avenger 220 street has just gone north with every ride.🚵⬆
What a beautiful country road.. Lush greenary, Jungles, Paddy fields, coconut plantations, Jain temples, old churches...
Some pics taken on the way:

Guyz I am thinking to buy avenger 150 street. People who own this bike please give your reviews about it. I heard it has some kind of manufacturing problem in which fuel is NOT properly supplied to the engine which gives jerks to bike also is riding with it in traffic DIFFICULT?
Also is it available in RED and BLACK version because I like that color more. Thanks in advance.

As per my info, it's only available in midnight blue.. But some bajaj showrooms here in Mumbai are offering in customized colors available with them at an extra cost... Approx 8 to 10k additional charges..

I have heard a lot of people complain about the handling of Avenger in city traffic personally I have never rode an Avenger (was a P180 guy), so how bad the handling is? Also I am looking for a daily commuter in Pune traffic and am returning to biking after a gap of about 2.5 years. So what should be an ideal commute an Avenger/some other bike or a Scooter say Activa/Jupiter?

P.S. I am a very very big built guy :P

Nothing as such. Handling just takes a while to get used to.
Its a brilliant bike and demands attention from people around you.
Weight of your body doesn't matter. But if you are above 5"10, I don't think you will like it much. You will feel like sitting on a tricycle of a baby at home for fun.
So, you better take a test ride and decide by yourself.
            Good luck👍✌

Hey guys i am new to the Xbhp and planning to buy cruise 220 soon, had a test ride and i felt cruise more comfortable than the street version

                have below questions

                1. what are advantages or disadvantages of having Spoke wheel over alloy ?
                2. has anyone got 220 street and changed the handle bar ( with matching paint ) and pillion backrest to cruise ones ? would really like to see how does it look like

I used P150 first version in the past...

Spoke wheel: Spoke Wheel gives a classic look. If the wheel bent, it is very easy to true. I have heard for alloy wheels if it bends we need to change the entire wheel itself. I am not very sure about it.

For OldAvenger 220 - I have seen some people changed their handlebar to smaller one similar to street. But I haven't seen the contrary.

Not that bad, though not as nimble as a D200.
You'll get used to it in a few weeks.

                          Answer : i also owned p150 ug3
Planned to buy 220 street/cruise, test rode both, got the same feeling that cruise is more comfortable.

But, got to read a review by motoroids which said ..
" The 220 Cruise’s new handlebar looks classically stylish, though as is the case with most of those crane-neck handlebars, it isn’t the most comfortable or functional. The high-set bar grips offer an upright riding position, which makes you look good on a cruiser, but transfers most of your weight on the lower back and buttocks, which isn’t the most comfortable seating position for long hauls.

The 220 Street is designed for city riding with the new lower and flatter handlebar targeted to provide better manoeuvrability and it does manage to do a pretty decent job. The rider’s triangle is completely different, and slightly better than the 220 Cruise as the ergonomics distribute a part of the weight on the wrist and shoulders, reducing the stress on your rear. While one may want to believe that the Cruise variant, complying with the traditional cruiser stance would be a great touring companion, over longer distances, the Street might actually turn out to be a less tiresome motorcycle of the two.

                          have below questions

                          1. what are advantages or disadvantages of having Spoke wheel over alloy ?

                          Not have much idea

                          2. has anyone got 220 street and changed the handle bar ( with matching paint ) and pillion backrest to cruise ones ? would really like to see how does it look

i am sure you will like the street handlebar more if you travel for long hours, and the cruise handlebar is direct fit in street model, it can be done if you wish

Regarding backrest, i asked them to fix it while purchasing bike, but they dont have it in stock, need to wait for a week, it costs 850 in chattisgarh state, its total assembly near helmet hanger will be changed, and it will be chrome finished, may be look odd, anyways .. i am getting it in a week , will post pics of it

PS:- i am 5.11 in height and 72 kg in weight, finding street 220 comfortable for me.

My brother is 6.3 and his knee was getting touched in cruise 220 crane neck handle, street 220 is fine for him also.

How many of you agree the fact that people forget to turn off indicator in avenger after completing turn.

Happened with me on 1st day, getting used to it now.

Owners manual says Do Not Use teflon coating, showroom guys insist on doing it for making extra cash worth 350/-

I used P150 first version in the past...
Spoke wheels usually do not come with tubeless tyres... you get that advantage in an alloy wheel...and the air passes through the alloy wheels more easily which helps in windy conditions...spokes have the disadvantage of rusting..
But a spoke wheel costs less...and is effective enough for an experienced rider... the choice is yours.

I'm using the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise ...it has completed around 250kms... everyday when I travel around 20kms the engine idle speed increases... is it okay ? Or I need to get it fixed ? Why does the idle speed increase after the engine gets warm ?
