Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Actually I went to the service station and they rectify the problem by removing the front wheel and the bearing. then they greased the entier bearing they also removed the pads and cleaned it properly then they reinstall the entire kit and gave the bike to me for testing after which the problem is over now but i also tried your method which you have explained over here I tried it and the disk was not getting heated and hence the problem was not this. It was something else which I believe is over also I have told the service station that if again the problem comes then you have to change the bearings under warranty for which the company manager has also agreed to do the needful if at all the problem comes again.Originally posted by AbhiAvvy13 View PostRun the bike without applying the front brake for 2-3km and again run for same distance applying the front brake vigorously. Touch the disk plate both the time to feel the heat. If it feels hot both the times then there may be a problem in disk brake pad alignment.
The mileage which my bike is giving after second service is 48 in city. For the sound just go to the service station pay like 50 rs to the mechanic best one senior one I mean to say and tell him to tighten the nuts from front till the end. Every nut I mean here. As I have a personal experience on this one. Trust me just do this and hope this problem might be linked with one of the nuts being not tight properly and also do use moto 4 gold 20w50 engine oil and not the companies one. I use the same engine oil. From day one and the vehicle is rocking touch wood on that note.Originally posted by bikerzid View Posthey, i have an avenger street 150 and When I'm going through bad roads and the bike is making a tik tik sound from the front, it sounds like something is loose and is hitting on something. I asked the service center guys to look into it but I guess they didn't. What is the mileage that you guys are getting for the bike after the second service? and any idea about the tik tik sound?
Some negatives we would love to hear them. Also congratulations for the purchase sure you will not regret your decision for going for this bike.Originally posted by Arpit Mehta View PostHi guys.. You shall not feel like God but you will love to see people's reaction when they shout hay look Harley Davidson. Trust me it has happened with me many times and at that time one really feels happy in the heart.
Also at the time of the delivery be patient and see the engine oil level first and foremost that it should be correct. Then see for some scratches also start the vehicle and hear the sound there should not be any absurd noise from anywhere. Like tic tic or tak tak sound.
I have seen this when I went to purchase my vehicle I had called for 5 vehicles out of which I selected mine from the que. Also look at the tyre because tyres do tell alot of stories.
Also see the head gasket it should have white selent as that's the companies original selent.
All the best looking forward for some good snaps.
Good luck and all the best.click me

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Hi guys, I would like to know about the general feed back of the avenger street 220.
And also is it possibly safe to remove the tube from the stock tyre setup and add a valve and make the tyres tubeless with the given mrf zapper tyres?
A brother of mine did it on the rear wheel and it works pretty well, he did not do the front out of concern.
Also are there other tyres of the tubeless variety that would fit the avenger's rim dimensions?

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
I believe it is for 1200 Rs here in my city. If you have the number of your service station then just call and confirm it should be of that price which I have mentioned.Originally posted by AbhiAvvy13 View PostDo anyone have idea about the price of chain sprocket set for avenger220?

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Hello Guys,
I am new here and have been reading this thread for a while now and learned a lot from all the proud owners here. I have been driving my car for about 5 years now and keeping aside all the advantages of the car, it feels kind of boring now . Maybe because i have my eyes on the new Avenger street . I have never ridden a bike in my life and after seeing the Avenger, something inside of me came to life. I have told one of my friend who have a Pulsar 150 to teach me how to ride it and he'll be soon teaching and guiding me to learn it. I would really like to own a bike soon, but I have a couple of questions before making my decision.
1. My height is 5'5'', will i face any difficulty riding the Avenger 220 street?( riding posture, back strain and handling)
2. How safe is the bike against theft ? ( ignition key and handle bar lock ).

Ans. At your height the bike will not create any problem and the riding posture is superb. For someone who has been riding a different bike for a long time, this posture will take some time to be comfortable with. But as you are going to ride this one for the first time, you'll not face that problem. Regarding handling the owner of street model can give you better opinion but I have ridden this model from a friend and felt quite different (flickable and easy) than the previous one.
2. How safe is the bike against theft ? ( ignition key and handle bar lock ).
Ans. Bikes in this price range does not come with special theft protection. The ignition is placed in an uncommon position(beside your right knee) and it has the conventional handle lock but you can install a theft protection alarm or remote control ignition if you wish(like every self start type bikes). .Phoenix Came, Saw and Conquer My Heart, Forever...

Hey Imsang, glad to see you putting your interest in two wheelers.Originally posted by imsang View PostHello Guys,

Coming to your inquiry,
Ergonomics - Well your height is perfect for the avenger series, the riding posture of this motorcycle is upright and hands remain in a very relaxed position, its super comfortable to ride an avenger, more with the Street variant as it has a straight handlebar which make maneuverability very easy, while the cruise model's handlebar is a bit tiresome in city riding conditions, hence the street models gives the best balance between city and highway riding.
Theft - bikes are never too safe, its always good to park a bike in a crowded or guarded place, as handle locks can be easily broken and the bike can be hot-wired since most of the wires are exposed.
Wise Words - this is a cruiser bike, therefore the weight of the bike is mostly towards the back, hence the rear tires have more traction and the front has less of it, therefore always remember to use more of the rear brakes and less of the front, as the front is prone to locking up which might turn up ugly.
My suggestion would be to use 80 percent of the rear and 20 percent of the front "when applied together".
And do take a test ride of the street before locking onto it, if required take two test rides to get the feel as the handling of a cruiser is a little different than that of a sports or a commuter bike.
But when you come through the learning curve this bike offers super comfort, power, handling, looks and mileage, you simply cannot go wrong with this.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
hi first of all welcome to xbhp. As for your height 5.5 Avenger is the best and it is a suitable bike for you.Originally posted by imsang View PostHello Guys,

I myself I am 5.7 well the bike is very comfortable in riding in city as well as on the highway but first and foremost you learn how to ride a bike as you are not at all familiar with the two wheeler so in my opinion go for it take some test drive of the vehicle from the dealer if you feel comfortable then you're welcome to the avy family. All the best best wishes.
