Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
AFAIK, company doesn't measure fuel capacity by filling upto brim. They leave some space to accommodate for breathing inside tank. When we fill tankful, we full upto brim without that air space and that shows as more tank capacity. Same happens in pulsar too.Originally posted by arjunb25 View Post

Maybe you should check the spark plug... and the rattling sound sometimes comes out from the chain... do check the chain and sprocket...lubricate and tighten them properly...Originally posted by ramndharu View PostHi all, I am kind of hearing a tik tik sound from my engine which is only heard after i ride for sometime and come to stop i.e at idling .. i cannot hear it after i start the bike after the engine cools or after a long gap. Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
The tik tik sound is absolutely normal after a run for some time. It happens to every bike.Originally posted by ramndharu View PostHi all, I am kind of hearing a tik tik sound from my engine which is only heard after i ride for sometime and come to stop i.e at idling .. i cannot hear it after i start the bike after the engine cools or after a long gap. I don't think he's talking about the sound which comes after turning off the ignition...if so, that's completely fine...Originally posted by AbhiAvvy13 View PostThe tik tik sound is absolutely normal after a run for some time. It happens to every bike.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
I had this problem in my pulsar 180 after a good ride when we set the bike on side or main stand at ideal. Then we can hear this tik tik sound from somewhere right. Well that comes from the silensor as it is hot and now it is cooling down. The filter is relaxing... lol. Don't worry it is normal. Relax.click me

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Took a test drive of Avenger over weekend found the bike quite comfortable but it has a learning curve to adjust for the gear placement. I found switching gears a bit troublesome on Avenger compared to my Pulsar 180. The engine is responsive and punchy. Also asked the dealership for a test drive of V15 but they didn't have a test drive bike available.
Currently holding my buying decision till I TD V15.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
You seem to have the problem only because p180's gear shifting is done using only toe and in avenger you've to use both toe and heel. This habit will be changed in no time.Originally posted by Hyp3rion View PostTook a test drive of Avenger over weekend found the bike quite comfortable but it has a learning curve to adjust for the gear placement. Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Help needed. While the bike is in motion I can hear a whistle sound coming from the disk. Now at the time the sound comes I have to stop at a petrol pump and ask for a glass of water. Then I pour the water on the disk pads and start my bike for no reason the bike has no more sound that whistle sound had also gone. Now what is this as I am experiencing this for the first time. Km done on the odo is 1400 km only. Please advise what to do I am also visiting the asc tomorrow. Should I get it cleaned or replaced. I would be happy to see a reply from friend's who have faced such issues.click me

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Run the bike without applying the front brake for 2-3km and again run for same distance applying the front brake vigorously. Touch the disk plate both the time to feel the heat. If it feels hot both the times then there may be a problem in disk brake pad alignment.Originally posted by arjunb25 View PostHelp needed. Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
hey, i have an avenger street 150 and When I'm going through bad roads and the bike is making a tik tik sound from the front, it sounds like something is loose and is hitting on something. I asked the service center guys to look into it but I guess they didn't. What is the mileage that you guys are getting for the bike after the second service? and any idea about the tik tik sound?
