    Hi All,
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I have been biking since 2004.
Pulsar 150 was my first bike and I have made 19 trips from Blore to Mangalore between 2007 and 2011.
I sold my pulsar 150 in 2013 (Road runner... loyal partner) and now am a proud owner of AVENGER 220 street.
I have just clocked 150kms and so far so good.
I'm loving everything about Avenger 220.
Hope the new Seed gives me the same trustful, loyal and break free performance like my old Pulsar 150.

Very handy technique. I did all 3 of this back when I used to live near slums people got jealous of my 220f
Can you suggest some online site ? Also can you show me yours ? Where did you buy from ? Am residing at Kerala

There is Ebay, Amazon, Flip Kart, Snap Deal you can order thru them.
I got mine locally thru Bajaj Auto at Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai.
The Oil lock was brought from snap deal.

            Hi,

I am from Mangalore. My Avenger street 220 is just 5 days old and front side indicator stopped functioning 😕.
Please advice if I should request the BAJAJ guys to replace the bulb for free or do I have to pay for bulb or any wiring issue from my pocket.

One more thing which concerns me is the Average. My bike clocked 150kms today and the average I got was mere 27.7kmpl!! 😮

Please let me know how much Average is expected from a 220cc mill, both before and after 1st and 2nd service.

I know the average is going to improve with time but 27.7kmpl is far too less than what I expected. This was completly city riding with less traffic and I have not even crossed 60kmph mark yet.

Please note, I had filled the normal fuel in an empty tank for Rs. 270 (Rs.60 per litre) from Indian oil and when odo read 125kms my bike started suffocating due to lack of fuel in its belly.

Awaiting response from the Avenger lovers ❤

            Thanks,
            Shariq

Dont worry, it will improve alot, when i got my 150 street, it drink 1 liter in just 25 km for first 200km, then it started to improve and after first service i am getting 52-53 for mixed driving conditions, i drive 50km daily which 30 in medium traffic and 20 on highway everyday. I tried every type of petrol, shell premium, hp premium amd indian oil, but every test result show that cheapest petrol from indian oil here give best mileage and engine firing also good, while using any premium petrol give less mileage amd emgine feel bit ruggish, and regarding bulbs, mine front one also blown in 9th day and i think its blown because of very new Battery and new battery habe much high voltage and ampere for first few days, best options is to buy from local spare store and change yourself with a screwdriver, it cost just 10 ruppes for one bulb with orange tinted glass here from top brand, my service center is 40km away, hope my input helps

Any budy who think that using other brand oil will not void warranty is wrong, i dont know in 220 model but booklet of my 150 street clearly written on page 35 that use of bajaj genuine oil is mandatory to get benefit of warranty, please check on page 35.

This was the same case as mine. Even i had the same problem in the bulb it stopped working the very next day of purchase but non the less got it replaced under warranty.
Well i am using other engine oil as i have always used this one moto 4 gold 20w50 in all my previous purchase from bajaj. More over there is no problem in getting warranty above all to get a warranty you have to really fight for it. What a small face they make in giving the warranty.

                  Hi Avenger Riders,

Just found this thread today as i am new to Xbhp.

I am planing to but The all new Avenger Street soon. I am although confused between 150 and 220.

The price difference between the two is hardly 10k.

Mt concern is that 150 has a new engine, will it suit the avenger for long run. Where as 220 is tried and tested.
My use is normal riding at 50 to 60 kmph speeds.. i am into sales profession so daily 60kms running up and down.

Looking for avenger will will give me good mileage and less maintenance cost.

220 will give me less mileage as compared to 150.. and i donot require that much power and so i have preference over 150. Pls advice can i go forward with it. I have taken test ride for 150 and it feels very smooth. Also i was slip disc patient earlier.. I hope avenger does cause me back ache as compared to other bikes.

Planning to buy it next week.. any opinions?

                  Thanks for reading the post

                      Hi Guys,

I have been riding the Avenger 220 Street since last 4 months and I think the headlamp needs a serious upgrade . Since I have faced issues while touring during night and I don't think stock one is enough to provide enough support during the ride .

I was thinking to install an iron bar in front of the handle bar and install 2 auxiliary headlamps to that . I am not planning to go for those smaller fog lamps and want to provide a bulky look to the bike .

Can you guys please let me know if anybody has done some modifications on their avenger by installing iron bar and aux headlamps ? also the links to get the lamp and which one would be better .

                      Thanks in advance.

                        Hi Guys,

The Indicator issue on my Avenger 220 has been fixed at Bajaj.
It was just a wiring glitch.

One more thing I wanted to add- Its not easy to take a leisurely ride at 40kmph on a lazy afternoon after lunch (Home to office) in the 5th gear. ENGINE starts to rattle and I had to downshift😕

P.S: Within a week after delivery I had 4 Strangers walking upto me and enquring about the Bike performance and on road price.
                        DEFINATELY a head turner.
Even girls give a second look these days 😬😆

                        Thanks,

Well yes sure this bike is a head turner. Here in my city all at people come and ask me also when we hang out with friends at ccd they're people who come out our when they are going inside they always stop and first vership the bike then they go inside and if by chance I am there with the bike the 5 questions always come from there end the first and foremost कितना देती है।

It is so obvious as this bike has given a good sales for bajaj. Above all the bike is good no doubt. Here in my city 150 is selling like a hot cake.

Even in my bike i have noticed the same issue if ridding af 40 and at top gear the bike requests you to please go down on 4th. In city it is the best bike to ride i mean 150cc

Hi yeah you can buy the 150 cc it's a very good bike even I have it which I normally use for City riding. The initial fuel efficiency which I was getting was 38 as it was the new engine and now after the first service I am getting around 45 and I am expecting after the third or maybe 4th service I would be getting around 50 + I advise the 150cc to alot of people for going for 150 cc in comparison to D 220 cc if you have to ride in city the back pain problem which you have shared with us well on Avenger you will not face this problem as this bike has been made in such a way in which one feels relaxed either in city or on the highway.
Now buddy go ahead and get your seed and we shall be looking forward for your new bike to come do post some snaps and share with us suppose in future if you have any problems we are here to guide you in any manner all the best and good luck ride safe.

Last night at 9:00pm I got an opportunity to take my Avy street 220 on to the highway. I travelled to Karkala from Mangalore to my Mother In Laws house. I had to carry a lot of cloths and other stuffs as my wife is expecting a baby this week 😊☺.. I packed my 75litres trekking bag till the brim with lot of mother and new baby stuffs and it was easily weighing around 40kilos.

I was super excited to meet my wife and show her my new bike + I ws super Ultra excited to ride my bull in the night. I took the Manglore-Moodbidri-karkala route
This route to Karkala is beautiful. Its a green curvy roads, less or no traffic at some stretch in the night, spotless tarmac.

Crusing on the highway with so much luggage in my backpack was never so easy in the past. I enjoyed every moment of it. One twist of the throttle and I was easily hitting 100kmph mark from 40-60kmph.

Attched is my bike pic and ofcrs its me on it 😆
