Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Thanks arjun and everyone for replies, can you confirm that rs.1200 backrest is genuine part of bajaj or aftermarket? I noticed that backrest from avenger cruise is direct fit for both street models due to same rear design and also new backrest have good logo at backside of bajaj. Its difficult to find backrest here in surat, even bajaj guys dont have it.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
No problem we are here to help each other. Yes it is a genuine part which you will have to go to your service centre and book this part from there in normal delivery time is 15 days. If you are in luck you might get it right away. Good luck after you have installed please share the snaps of your seed with us. As even I have to go for but as I am not married hence staying with the stock for the. Moment as there is a key in this which is a direct fit to the lock which is underneath the guard which is a helmet lock. As the new back rest will have is own key if at all the current lock can also be put in that. Keep us posted shall look into itOriginally posted by Parimal_ajudiya View PostThanks arjun and everyone for replies, can you confirm that rs.1200 backrest is genuine part of bajaj or aftermarket? Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
I was thinking of changing the rear tyre to tubeless as we all know that 130/90 r15 is hard to find or I should put it this way now available anywhere. Hence on the new alloys will 150/70 r15 can it be fit or any other tubeless tyre you all recommend only those who have used it on the new alloys of the new avanger.Last edited by arjunb25; 02-29-2016, 01:38 AM.click me

Since you are using the nitrox shows as seen in the pictures, the rear ride height has increased by approx 20-25mm-does the front fork compress by a corresponding amount to balance the bike? What is the handling now?Is the rear suspension softer now?Does the chain drag on the rubber buffer on top of the left swingarm? How much better is the rear 140/70-15 TVS tyre better than the stock 130/80-15 Nylogrip and what was the cost of TVS tyre?Which front tyre are you using?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
I wanted to know if we can switch the drum brake in the back to a disc brake? Prefer 200 petal from the rtr series or from 230 mm from the Pulsar rs 200 series? And what's the cost for it?Last edited by shadcool786; 02-29-2016, 03:43 AM."Biking: the Under-Rated and Drug-Free Antidepressant"

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
I don't think 150/70 will be fit..bcos i myself tried which was a model of harley Davidson mrf tyre...150/70-15... The swing arm have to be cut inorder to fit the width i guess... But i use tvs rambo 140/90-15 for which only the iron rod going to drum brake was bent...i will post pics laterOriginally posted by arjunb25 View PostI was thinking of changing the rear tyre to tubeless as we all know that 130/90 r15 is hard to find or I should put it this way now available anywhere. 1.rear tyre..tvs rambo 140/90-15... The looks are nice...but am not feeling kinda grip on wet roads... But... The grip on it lasting...i think its hard compound rubber used...i got it from snapdeal for a price of 3300rs...well am searching for other 140or130/90-15 companies... If you know please tell that
2.front tyre is michelin sport 90/90-17... Which is indeed one of finest grip tyre... Don't be doubtful seeing its grip... Provides great bite...and i can confidently lean the bike sideways...until foot rest hits on road... You can imagine how will be that..
3..regarding chain...we have to set the chain a little loose than stock...its best if u sit on the bike and set the chain..bcos as we sit on gas shocks... The bike sits down and chain gets stretched... If u have usual pillion rider ask him or her too to sit and adjust the chain...a great difference can be felt...
Attached pic is taken few days back...i bought the tyre one year before... So you can still see the grip

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Guys anyways to secure these two areas ?
1.Oil seal as one can ruin engine by putting salt through oil cap area which destroys engine slowly and no one knows
2.fuel pipe as people tend to drain petrol easily...asked abt fuel lock but got lots of negative opinion.. Defective thing
People are not good here and always try to harm somebody especially when they something good n nice as our avenger bike....
Please help !!!

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Don't worry about people, Just get a fuel gauge lock, search online for engine oil cap lock, and the petrol pipe I'm not sure but get couple of them to keep in bike at all times in case someone steals yours, you can take one out and use it. Very handy technique. I did all 3 of this back when I used to live near slums people got jealous of my 220fOriginally posted by bencherian View PostGuys anyways to secure these two areas ?
