Thanks bro for your reply. I have called svc guys and they told me that screw is removed and mileage problem will be solved.but they told me that I have to replace the carb. As there is black smoke while high rev. . can you please tell me what is going on.i have just rebuilded engine a month ago. -

If the air screw is jamned, free it by putting some kerosene or acetone on it n leaving it for a day(remove the carb to do it). Once you are able to remove it, clean the hole throughly with acetone and brake fluid. Then get a new air screw and put it in. Make sure to carefully remove and store the o ring and washer of the air screw so it can be used with the new one(if they are not provided with the new one).

I own pulsar 150 2010 model and i have serviced my bike before 2 days and service guy told me that air screw of carb. Is jammed so you have to replace whole carb. Which cost something around 2700rs. Please tell me whether is it necessary to replace whole carb. ?Leave a comment:

That may be a fault of tuning. Make sure the engine oil you use is of recommended properties for pulsar 150 engine. Get the carb tuned by SVC. Then check if the issue persists.Originally posted by rgupta View PostLeave a comment:

. My humble suggestion, please don't go for K&N or any other high flow filters. Stick to the OEM Filter only. Others will spoil the engine with partially filtered air.

Trusted mechanic/shop for Pulsar 150 DTSi UG4 block piston work
Hi
I am owner of Bajaj pulsar 150 DTSi UG4 (2009 model) clocked 26k km. From last more than a year my bike started giving black smoke from the exhaust and from last month I have also noticed oil on engine head. I have also contacted few mechanic and Khivraj bajaj Indiranagar, most of them suggested that my bike needs block - piston work to permanently solve this problem but few suggested to check the engine oil level regularly and top up whenever required after noticing engine noise and odometer.
Request you all to please suggest best or trusted workshop/mechanic for block - piston work in Bangalore. Also advise if you have any other suggestion.

Hello every one thanks for your comments and i have reached out to a mechanic and he suggested me to change the bore piston on the bike and i did as well as the clutch plates and new values and all the other things like timing chains and oilseals and oil, but the problem still persists, bike the way my bike is a classic pulsar first model with a single plug and it still has the heating issue
