Really its too late for oil treatment, i guess.
either u hav to cut the silencer's end part and rebuild it ,which looks bad to me but u can save few bucks or so by wielding. after which the sound or the grunt will change into roar.

another option is go for new one & I think that will cost 3000/- (approx). I dont knw the exact.
also do search for after markets best suitable for ur bike.

Could anyone tell me when to change the spark plugs and how much it may cost

also, the panel in my speedo on which the numbers are written vibrates if i go over 20 as if it is loose. Is there any way it can be rectified?

what is the top speed and average you all are getting?
mine goes to 105 and average is 58-60

Congrats for ur bike doing those 32000+kms.

ANS 1- The spark plugs if u wish u can go with normal that would cost arnd rs.62 for BOSCH MICO UR 3CC each. (Copper Electrode) I hav changed n they are doing gr8.

ANS 2- Look out for the screw driver just below the casing of the front cowl. u will find the slot which is attached with the handle. tighten it with washers if reqd. I think that will solve the issue.

        ANS 3-
Top speed- 120kmph(true speed -118) as mine is 2004 version of DTSi. On incline it shows 130kmph.
avg is abt 45-52kmpl in city& yes I ride a bit harsh smetimes. so my bike's economy is less.
Highway is 55-60kmpl when ridden at 80-90kmph zone,Which is not possible most of the time by me.

it wont effect engine. Jst a slight change in sound note of the engine. It may sound a bit throatier now.

as far as i knw, keep the bike's silencer end lubricated and inspect regularly. sometimes ask the mechanic to pour sme drops inside the silencer also, then rev hard so that the used black mobil is sprayed inside the walls.
To make more effective ,close the end with cloth with hand on it for 10sec and then rev again u will notice that a small opening underneath will get cleared also. do this after u hav poured sme drops of used mobil inside the silencer. I hope this will reduces the chances of rust accumulating. Atleast it has done the job with my bike.

                Nah!
There is no change in performance.
I'll post the pics of mine soon
As with rpmboy's suggestion, try pouring some used oil in it.(Maybe it'll ignite and gove the DHOOM nitro effect)
There will be a slight decible increase so now you'rs will soud like a mini bullet

                    TOP speed 124 Kmph

                    hi guys,

Last week I visited popular bajaj agency at Koramangala. I was planning to ride to goa in coming weekend (got postponed)...I asked Mr Girish, the service manager, if he can increase the speed of BIKE. I couldn't beleive when he checked the top speed of bike. It clocked 124 Kmph in the speed check machine.

He told he has got engine tuned for more power. Because of more power the performance of bike will increase but the mileage will decrease..

I was really surprised to see that, still didn't check it on road...this saturday, I will a speed check and will post my experience here...

PS: Is there any harm to my bike engine with increased power...???

                      124kmph on dyno ...not bad.
simple it is.....on dyno no wind friction against ur body.. right

so u get that speed. Then again keep in mind the tacho error of atleast 5kmph more or less. But still u r left with 121kmph top whack, now if u hav an E-Tec version of Pulsar 150 dtsi gd.

ya do that on live conditions.
let me remind u , my bike smetimes hits 130kmph (in incline) !!! & on straight road 120kmph ,if all goes well.

riding fast will only reduce u mileage....once a while going to TOP whack wont hurt ur bike.
