    Model :- Jan 2006 UG2 ( Analog Meter )

One more most satisfied owner of Pulsar 150.. It has never let me down in any situation
Not a single accident till today. (TouchWood) Not even a bike fall on stand still.
Not a single punture till now even after so much offroading..
Very happy with service of bajaj..

    Mileage:-
around 55 always in city riding..
Least i got was 45 when i rode at a speed of 100kmph for 100km stretch constantly ( bangalore to mysore road )
best i got was 67 during bangalore to mysore journey maintaining a constant 70kmph speed. Oh highway riding it is always above 60.

    Top speed done :-
120 kmph on NICE road during my 1st xbhp meet.
    110kmph with pillon.

    Parts changed till now :-
Rear brake pads twice, front disc pads once.
front fork oil once at 25k km.
front pilot lamp ( got burnt when i touched 120kmph)

Parts to be changed in future according to mechanic after another 5k :

I agree with you all that Sai Service station in Aundh has good repo with company officials as nothing is done against him even after thousands of complaint......... Is there any way we can make our voice reached to the upper management (Not Akrudi, pune Office), head office....

            • Help

my pulsar just clocked 35000 kms
now from the last few kilometers i have been noticing a lot of leakage of oil from the right fork even after i got the oil seal and fork oil changed
i used genuine bajaj oil seal and idemitsu oil
the problem is that the oil is seeping onto the disc pads and making braking a nightmare and it is also flying off and sticking to other parts too

believe me, this oil is just 2 days old
              what shall i do

              • @Bobby, it is the oil seal that's the culprit... not a problem with the oil... please check if the oil seal was really replaced or not and if replaced whether it was placed in to the correct position... as such, you never know when the fork oil seals give way... but don't let this oil drain especially on the right fork... if the oil touches your disc pads they get screwed up and you'd need to replace the pads too...

@Manohar, you should be a very sedate rider... clutch plates lasting 35K and going... even the chain sprocket set... I rarely hear of such things on Pulsars or most other higher powered bikes... good going

                  Ya.. even i was surprised..
Clutch plates are stil good. may be because i do clutchless shifts
I'm not a sane rider.. I rip a lot depending on my mood.. one day even rode over steps

This bike has made me to go for Pulsar 220 now
will be getting in few days as soon as newer version releases.

                    • ^The shudder in the pick up tells the time for replacement of the chain-sprocket. And if u gets ur hands on the chain then the joints will move left-right...i mean a bit loose hold on the teeths of the rear sprockets. Its time to replace the chain set.

Clutch plates - Ur bike would scream but u wouldnt be getting the "usual" pickup. U would also experience clutch slippage once in a while. Also topend would drop noticably.

                          • ^^^ and if your gear shift has become harder... time to change the plates... as such, Bajaj recommends to change them at 20K KMs I suppose. That's what most Pulsar owners I know did, whether there was a problem or not.

To utilise the max of the nightbreaker, U first have to fit the Avenger s coil onto it(It s a direct fit) and then install the NB. Works great.

But NB's are designed for DC, so making it work on an AC might shorten it s life!
