Saw many bikes with that end can welded and looks ugly. You may get a neater job done and get it chrome plated.

Else, get a new silencer and a matt black one - not the chrome one (if they are still available) and that costs u about 4.5K

@rpmboy : how much it cost for the new tail light section ? do u have any idea ?
and aslo i am planning to fix rc-1060 k&n air filter , wat mod is to be done after fixing the k&n filter to get maximum perfomance. someone suggested me to rejet the carb. or replace it to 110 carb from p180.
one more thing.... changing the rear sprocket of my bike to a bigger dia will increase some perfomance ?
if yes which bikes sprocket will be better for my dtsi ?

but personally old tail light section looks more better than latest.

Well I dont knw the exact cost of the rear tail section of the latest Pulsars though, actually u see mine bikes never broke.

K&N wont give u the "performance" but will gve only fractional increase in performance, thats the same reason I m not installing the same on my bike.
Else u can go for JETTING but make sure u do the work from an
reputed /trusted mechanic in ur locality as any variations may harm the engine.Jetting is like doing a custom work for the type of rider & engine.

Changing the rear sproket with bigger one will increase the pulling power of the bike but u will hav an reduced TOP Speed . May b longer & harsher all the way up to the top 3digit speeds.
If u want initial pick up then a bigger rear sproket with stock front one will gve u the initial pick up feel.

Well the 150cc DTSi model 2004 that I hav, is doing 120kmph @8000rpm[apprx](and is due for service).I think it will be a lot smooth after the service .
Yes ,the initial pick up may feel low but yes on highway touring is smooth.
I hav kept my bike stock as possible.

I think K&N will b unable to accommodate in the filter box.
whats the need for bigger carb , the bike is breathing fine and that too from K&N.

                      ^^^ u are mistaken

You cannot live on breathing alone. Need food too.

When you get a K&N (needs to be installed directly to the carb) the bike is breathing more air and the fuel that is coming from the stock jet is not in sufficient ratio with the extra air flow! You need to upjet so that the air fuel mixture is right.

Other-wise the bike will run lean = more heat = many ways to screw up the engine.

Also, when u get a K&N don't forget to maintain that filter properly!

get matching jets of higher number. almost everyone can set the jet in the carb but finding out the right size and getting it is difficult. All the best.

Keep the stock jet very safe with you
