Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
This move was not the worst imaginable. If Lorenzo had not been at that place Marquez would have run wide. He bounced off him to take the turn
Apparently Race Direction taking no action against Marquez for that move.
I fear that his attitude might make racing entertaining, but also be costly to someone or even to himself in the long term. And I am not talking in terms of championship points here.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Personally I feel, marc should have given back that position, that move from Marc would never stick and also as Jorge admitted, he should have never opened the door for marc over there. Marc is learning and he will improve, I am happy that Dani won.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Both Valentino and Jorge jointly agrees that Yamaha have to work on the bike. "... On the other hand we have to improve the bike.." says Jorge, while Valentino was clearly not happy with the set up. "...Here in Jerez I expected we could go faster than Honda but they arrived in front of us. We still have some work to do to improve the bike.."-Vale.Owned - Yamaha RX100 -> TVS Fiero F2 -> Yamaha R15 -> KTM RC390

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
I just feel Marc was prepared for the move, Jorge really couldn't shut the door on Marc. If you see the lines.. Marc did target Jorge and not the corner while going in. When Rossi did it he targeted the corner but just couldn't make it and bumbed sete out.
But either ways I'm all game for such racing.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Lorenzo has admitted that he was unable to close the door at the last corner. Well I personally feel that it will be very difficult for a Yamaha (Lorenzo) to handle both the Hondas. Rossi should enter the fight too. Two Yamaha vs two Hondas will be a pure delight to watch.
“If somebody did that to me…for sure, I would be angry - not because of the moment but because I would have lost a place on the podium. I can understand that but, anyway, I have said sorry.”- Marc marquez on the incident. Read- http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2013/marquez+on+jerez+race
Yamaha has confirmed that they did not protest the Lorenzo/Marquez incident because they were sure, they will loose the appeal.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
That Move was strong, but the contact was race incident.
I guess Lorenzo got emotional cuz he lost a place at Lorenzo Corner. Lorenzo was taking wider lines even before, maybe to gain more speed. But here Marquez saw his chance.
Poor Marc didnt get a shake of hands from #99.
Race Winner Dani Pedrosa made an awesome come back. I hope he keeps this momentum.
About Rossi, is he having Spies kinda treament at Yamaha??

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
This is racing. And racers can't be too careful always (by choice or not). These incidents can't be avoided in such a sport, and obviously these happen either mistakenly or are *created*! Especially when you have 3-4 championship contenders and are fighting with each other on the absolute limit, you always want to make an impact everytime you go out on a track. And it doesn't matter, like we saw, whether you are a rookie (in MotoGP class) doing this to the current world champion!
Rossi did that to Gibernau because he *wanted* to win.
Ayrton Senna had quoted: "I am not designed to come second or third. I am designed to win." And obviously, he was a very aggressive racer and many still regard him as the greatest F1 racer to walk on earth.Last edited by Satellite.kid; 05-06-2013, 01:59 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

^^woah, looks like the same corner, is that Jerez..? btw, in this case Jorge was off the line as he was behind and also took the rider down. Totally uncalled for ..Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
