Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Didn't get you. Well, if you compare Lornzo's and Rossi's run, it was clear that Rossi 'd never push beyond a certain point. That's mainly due to his lack of confidence on the brakes and suspension. Lorenzo's was at its best.Originally posted by dishayu View PostPermission to say "called it"? :|

probably never. :\ :xOriginally posted by incipient View PostWith the Spaniards standing on the podium the crowd was shouting "vale vale...". Quite silly really. Rossi's reign is over, how long is it going to take the people/fanboys to realize it and move on. :-P

yes in the post race interview of rossi, he said he didnt feel confident in corner entry and braking.Originally posted by Makky View PostAlso, on board videos from Rossi showed that he never lost time both during acceleration and gear shifts. So, it was down to the front end feedback again.
besides the fact that in general he just isnt as fast as those 3 (or if stoner was still here, 4)

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Doesn't matter. Currently, he gets MotoGP and Yamaha money with ease. Until MM takes over, this trend shall continue. Finishing 4th consistently isn't hopeless considering that the top 3 are 20, 26 and 26. Both 99 and 26 are at their peak with 93 as brutal as Bruce Lee.Last edited by Makky; 09-15-2013, 11:28 PM.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Some ifs and buts....
Casey's retirement coupled with Spies' poor performance meant that Rossi 'd cash in the situation and Yamaha had to yield to close that gap between them and Honda. Yamaha did their best and certainly, aren't idiots.
Had Casey stayed back, MM 'd have taken Pedrosa's seat. In that case, Yamaha 'd have caught the little robot. Again, if Spies were to perform well last season, it 'd have turned pretty ugly for Rossi.
Fact is that there isn't a lad currently in MotoGP who can be as fast as Lorenzo on an M1 who 'd fight the Spaniards for a podium. Things 'll change at the end of next season.Last edited by Makky; 09-15-2013, 11:55 PM.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
It was disappointing to see when Rossi did not get best start from front row... there is something wrong... Dont know what it is. But, there is is always a next race.
A great race by Lorenzo.
If Dani keep losing his fights like this, he will never be a world champion of motogp.
Marquez was good. He is taking too much risks.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
A lot of info coming in -
1. JB - Rossi can't stop the bike.
- Down to front end feel.
2. Rossi - He is bigger than the top 3 and his bike runs leaner to finish the race.
3. 69 might go to Aspar next year.
4. Esp 'll jump to NGM Forward most likely. But, the contract issue with Aspar is tight.
5. Yonny 'll be Spies' replacement for the rest of the season.
Good job, mate. But, he is still 27. Sep 29 is 2 weeks away.Originally posted by dishayu View PostPedrosa is 28

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Looking at some of the onboard shots with telemetry today it appears that the Honda's rev upto ~16k. A similiar onboard with Casey on the Honda 800's shows a little over 18.5k ! Is there a 16k rev ceiling for 2k13?
From onboard telemetry of the 800cc RCV of Casey & M1 of Lorenzo (youtube videos) it looks like the RCV powerband starts from ~9k. Wow that's more than 9k of revs to play with! Casey went all the way down to 9k just before exiting for the 300+ straight at Valencia. Lorenzo never went below 10k. So Honda had a wider powerband i guess.
Btw, looking at the Assen (botched) start video of Cruthlow his launch rev was 12k. I suppose that's where the Yamaha makes the most torque. ;-)

I blame it on Charlie Cox. He said Pedrosa is 28 on commentary today. :POriginally posted by Makky View PostGood job, mate. But, he is still 27. Sep 29 is 2 weeks away.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
I kinda agree with Rossi riding with leaner fuel. Cuz when he doesnt, he runs out of fuel, like at Qatar and SilverStone.
Didnt know it mattered before.
Moto2 's got combined weight rule, aint it?
Hope Espargaro gets ride for NGM team.
2 weeks more the next race..Last edited by Braumabull; 09-16-2013, 01:19 AM.Ernest Hemingway

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Why should rossi run a leaner fuel.. Is it coz he is heavier than top three..??
If thats the case .. It means anybody heavier than top three will have less chances of beating them....simply because he will be little bit down on power..coz of leaner fuel...??
Even if thats the case...i think it is better to be more competitive than saving some fuel to do one more lap around the ckt. After the race is over just to celebrate a 4th position. Isn't it..??
