maybe he (lorenzo) didnt have any tyres left...god knows...he actually was hardly involved in the "battle" (which hardly was a battle haha)..seemed he was trying his best to catch rossi in the first half and then to hold off pedrosa but somehow couldn't go any faster...

and no, rossi won't have caught up with marquez if the race was some more laps longer...marquez was and is just too damn fast for anyone to catch him anyhow these days...besides, the idea is to catch a guy and pass him before the end of the designated number of laps and not in a hypothetical extended race of few more laps ;-)

Agree, Rossi wouldn't have troubled MM even with another lap. Rossi finishing 1.4sec behind Marc is deceptive. MM gave away more than 1.2sec in just the last sector of last lap knowing that he was home safe. In fact with another lap Dani would have given Rossi a run for his money

Anyways, as a Rossi fan cannot ask for more. I was waiting for this day for a long. Rossi finishing ahead of Jorge with other factors being common

2014 is almost over for him. He said that he was happy with 3rd in Argentina. Seemed very strange.


BTW, few more laps, Ped 'd have had Rossi. Nevertheless, great ride by the old devil!

yeah dani was as usual too little too late, but anyway he found some pace towards the end all of a sudden and had rossi's number and nearly got him..but again, that's racing..in the post race press conference he said for several of the first few laps his front kept nearly folding unexpectedly, then he decided to chill and get a safe rhythm, and then again when he thought of passing lorenzo at some point again his front nearly folded a couple times, so he took it slow and passed lorenzo later than he'd planned, and then again when he found himself closing in on rossi the rear was starting to kinda go off, so again had to back off for a minute and then only in the last 2-3 laps his bike felt properly comfortable but that was almost too late..

that was just in the context of finally not making some mistake, racing wise or stupidity, and finishing the argentinian race in a decent position...happy only to have not made a mistake and got the best position he could manage on a track that he hadn't shown much pace in the practices anyway.

yesterday he in a determined manner had said a bunch of times in the post QP press conf that he'd be trying hard to win the race or at least challenge for it properly...well none of that worked out though :|

Great ride by Vale...just amazing to see him fighting with the best. Just goes to show how much motivation and attitude is required to be on top for so many years. Jorge is mentally broken this year, the way he's talking and his body language. Now only if Vale can keep up wit Marc we could see position swapping like the start of the race whole year....wwooohhooo...

From the races we have seen till now, the most probable result from the today's race will have MM93, DP26 and VR46 in top five. If something doesn't go wrong with JL99 he also can be in top 4 or top 5. Satellite might might even top in Qualifying races but they are just not able to beat the Factory bikes in Race.

It looks as if there is simply no way to stop MM. Look at the way he kept gaining positions after falling behind in LAP 1. It is as if ticking box by box for him. He rides at another level is what I feel.
