Thanks man and now some Yamaha fan will say that we are getting world class technology in 49k with poor braking and no button start in the bike thus troubling the user

You mean to say FZ = Fat size and SZ = Slim size ?

            I dont understand the fuzz.
The SZ-X gets disc as an option.

And I personally dont like the disc.
I am not into stunting and dont want to go flying over the handlebars if the disc locks up.

Are you serious or are you making this all up?

Who said you disc brakes need to be used only by stunters and stunters can very well do a stoppie on drum brakes too.

Lack of Elec. Start and Disks is really disappointing for that price!

is that an oil level indicator?? now it will be much easier to determine the level of the oil without opening the oil guage & dirtying our hands

I am still optimistic about the fact that Yamaha would provide an optional disc set-up for the SZ-X eventually.Getting rid of the disc,as standard was a part of the price cutting endeavour. If customers demand it,they can provide for the setup available on the Gladiator easy.
exactly. yesterday i sent an e-mail to yamaha regarding the front disc setup. in the reply e-mail they said that if the customer want a front disc, they can get it fixed from the showroom itself for a small premium without violating with the bike's warranty. the front disc brake that they can put is the same as found in the gladiator. (reason is front fork of the SZ is of the same size as the Gladiator.)

how will they fit the caliper on fork when no bracket is provided on SZ fork . even mounting disc will be a big headache .

maybe they will change the front fork also with the one on gladiator as someone said that the gladiator's front fork is same as that of sz
