not only do the customer has to change the right front fork but they have to change the front alloys as well.add to that cost of the disc plate and the caliper master cylinder and brake line.plus labour. we are looking at a figure of around 6k or 7k at the least.

I bet Stunner looks even better in that angle, but the crowd going for P135LS aren't really after looks... if that's the case Stunner is already there, now they have one more option.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostYAMAHA nailed it with this one this time, P135 is dead now.

I think they would get exchanged value wise,if the bike is booked with disc set-up,brand new, showroom condition...........bringing the cost down to only the disc setup and additional 400bucks maybe. However,I think Yamaha would provide the Optional set-up soon.Originally posted by burnrubbernotursoul View Postnot only do the customer has to change the right front fork but they have to change the front alloys as well.add to that cost of the disc plate and the caliper master cylinder and brake line.plus labour. we are looking at a figure of around 6k or 7k at the least.Hell's Angel

I agree. This is exactly the reason even the style cues of the SZ are based so much on the FZ. I've encountered many people who'd love to own the FZ for the stylish looks yet are put off by the FE. Good mid range power to zip-zap thru the traffic ,decent FE and contemporary looks have always been top priorities for the target masses of the 150cc categories.Originally posted by madhav krishna View Posta lot of guys like to own a 150cc & not its mileage. This bike is for those guys.

Getting Rid of disk is like getting rid of a Status.disk brakes in a bike not only gives better braking, but also a royal feel to the youngsters.
And if u say, this bike is targeted towards middle/old age, then i would say,a commuter like my father would any day choose a honda/HH(Unicorn,hunk) above the yamaha.
For people like us,
With a 'Disk' option and pricing it under 57000 (onroad), it can really eat into P135 market. Even into the pulsar 150......And also their Own "Gladiator"(if u can afford a 150cc,why go for a 125 ?).
It wont affect the HH or Honda's loyal customers though.
Now Bajaj's strategy would be-----P180 with 'flairing'.....& 150 with split seats. haha.
But thank god,it didnt used the name 'FZ' in this detuned bike like Bajaj.
YAMAHA USES SAME ENGINE FOR DIFFERENT NAMES....BAJAJ USES DIFFERENT ENGINES FOR SAME NAME. (PULSARS N DICOVERS)HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3
