Yup I know,

PS: I was speaking about new Karizma bikes, mentioned OT earlier , I really wanted to answer there but the thread was locked, so mentioned here cos we can expect the same amount of people here also, cursing Hero for it's design when they haven't actually seen it in flesh. . .

Cheers!!!

added later. comparing a 180CC bike with a 223 CC one. logical, objective comparison. nice
use some of your mind in understanding my post rather than bashing hero and advocating bajaj. I was not comparing their performance figures, i was just trying to explain you the amount of upgrade bajaj has given to its bikes like p220 and p180.
@moderators: sorry for OT but I guess you should do your job without being biased. just go through this thread again, I am sure you will find lot of other posts which are off topic.

This is a better news than seeing the upgraded Karizmas. A bigger re-tuned 223 cc motor would be the best for Impulse. Or, they can fit the 223cc mill as is on the bike..
It'd be a hoot to ride!

Respectable.

Though the market is moving towards 300-400 cc its price will also move up (2+L)

There will be a market for 200-250cc even in 2016 if priced right. No problem there. I mean if priced at some 1.4 / 1.5 L it will sell. CBR 300 will be 2+ I guess.

This move will help Hero. At this stage its is better for hero not to get into that intense battle field of 300-400cc (CBR300,N300,D390,P375,Mojo,Triumph300)

And there should be something for people looking for 200-250 cc range.
well according to me honda has left that 250cc space. which will give advantage to rc200 and upcoming hero 250. I am sure honda will increase cbr's cost by 15000 atleast which will give price advantage to its competitors.

Impulse with a 200+ engine is a desi dream bike for me . But lets pray and hope that they don't modify the looks of the bike.

even i feel they will plonk their new 250cc engine on impulse but i guess it more than 20bhp will be over kill kinda thing for impulse as it already feels very light. may be I am wrong here but thats what i feel, I dont think its frame will be able handle speed more than 125kmph...

nothing ignored. honda and hero may have had shared power on HH but hero was free to do things on its own. there's no way honda could stall that.

Hero doesn't even have the freedom to do graphical changes. Its logical to think that Honda didn't allow Hero to set-up its own R&D as long as Honda was there in the Board.
you do realize you are quoting news about hero honda and extrapolating it to hero ?

far from being logical, to claim that honda had 'any' say in what hero did in-house has to be one of the most illogical things I have read in this thread. honda had as much say in hero's internal activities as hero had in honda's.

bottomline, hero != hero honda

Most bikes in that class are much lighter than a 134 kg impulse. Sometimes as light as 100-105 kg.

And I don't think Impulse is expected to hit 125kmph. Its job is something else, it will just eat a 150kmph bike in the right terrain.

The way hero postered Impulse on their website is really silly and misleading!
Looking at this image Impulse is an Urban road bike!
These guys creating marketing material should have some brain to do justice to the well engineered product.

OT again, sorry. . . Guess you are the same guy who commented in the Hero launching thread day before yesterday or so, comparing R15 and 200NS handling with that of Karizma's. . . Mann, YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE A MEDAL. . . LoL, let me clear it up, Hero are dusting up and getting back to the game, just a matter of time until they start ruling again. . . Finally, let's just not speak until we see the new Karizmas in flesh and also wait for their upcoming models to decide and to compare. . .

PS: No offense, except that I laughed a lot after seeing your comments comparing the two . . .

Additional: Next time you compare some bike, at least look at their class and category. . .

Cheers!!!

much better than you think. as of now there is exactly zero evidence of any such agreement.

Rakesh Rok, I get it. ZMA/ZMR is the ambassador of the bike world.
it lags behind the competition on almost "every single" parameter that counts, including in the tourer segment, where the CBR250 comfortably rules in sales numbers, even though it costs almost twice as much.
sure, zma still has a few hardcore fans (so does ishant sharma) but like amby, its (increasingly few) fans would tomtom its 'comfort' and 'space' even when sales tumble down.

even I want hero to do good but if this current release is an example of their vision for the future, I don't see much hope.

oh and just FYI, when you try to make fun of other's arguments, it only tells people you have facts or logical basis for your views, just emotion.

Oh.. since when did CBR250 sales beat the Karizma sales?? do you have a chart?? I am just confused

I have test rode the CBR and yes.. it is a good tourer.. but the sitting position didn't suit me as much as the ZMR/karizma did..

and I understand your sarcastic comment and know how much you know about bikes when you compared the R15 and the P200NS with the Karizma/ZMR..
