At least it is 3.6l in Delhi as compared to 3.85 in Bangalore.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostWent to see the R3 in person yesterday and I was very satisfied by its fit & finish, paint quality and specially ergonomics. I'm 6.1 and riding position for me was so comfortable and straight. The console is simple and neat. The only thing I didn't like is finance scheme Yamaha is offering its 15.75% interest per anum flat no reducing and available opt out is 1,2 & 3 years. You can have your own finance so its not a big deal but still almost 16% is sky high.Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Launched Globally: xBhp News
Have been following this thread and wanted to wait until someone looks at the bike in flesh.
Does this look like R15? Read in one of the post that it looks very similar to R15 except headlights...(think in Team-BHP)
will try and give a visit to showroom this weekend, wasn't aware the display bike is available... nearly 16% interest is way too high. Not sure if you get better deal if you have salary account with one of those banks... If not - a bullet classic 500 is always in back of my mind

Fanboy was for meOriginally posted by nagoo View Postcongratulation !!
fanboy, not at all, here most discussion happened on looks department, everyone will agree that R3 performance is un-beatable.
afternoon i did saw your bike in showroom, and i knew its yours. agree sound is something really crazy

You should had met me man, it would have been a good meet.
And now what are your plans? going for R3?
Well the build quality is good.Originally posted by sharathchandra View Post
Thank you for clearing the air. I am currently staying in Hubli, I enquired with the yamaha dealer here, display bike takes another 1 month to reach here, so I had this question which even you chose to ignore. Quality comparison vis-a-vis N300, since you have the 1st hand experience, kindly provide some perspective.
Sent from my SM-N750 using xBhp Connect mobile app
Bare with me for this I would like to compare it with R15v2(build perspective only) first.
R3 has much finished and better quality as compared to R3.
Pillion seat is more comfortable than R15v2 and the lower body/tail is much easy to capture in absence of grab rails.
Rider and Pillion seat both are bit longer than N300.
N300 looks huge from front but this is not the case with R3.
In comparison to N300, pickup is good, handling is and it is very easy to take sharp turns and also easy to take U turn in small area.
Also as mentioned in my earlier post, even with a full tank, weight ratio is evenly distributed.
Brakes are much better than N300 and even the tyres(but again it depends on the tie up with the manufacturer).
Firstly dont bring the comparisons of TeamBhp in xBhp.Originally posted by pachurai View PostHave been following this thread and wanted to wait until someone looks at the bike in flesh.

There are much kiddish comparisons going on there.
As mentioned by Ron and myself both, nowhere it looks like R15v1 or V2 either.
Only the front side plans are designed as similar as R15v1 it doesnt means it looks like R15, but trust me the panels are bigger and bit differently designed.
Loan depends upon the factors of your down payment value, time period and the interest all three and from which bank are you taking it.
Moreover many banks are giving normal bike loans on nominal down payment value at 13%.
If anyone is charging 16% better dont think of taking that loan.

I should be able to make 50% down payment as I will be exchanging my old CBR 150 (unless I find a buyer outside) - hopefully will get better finance scheme.
One last question though - will be using the bike mosty for daily office commute (almost 15 kms one way) and very few weekend long rides, how comfortable is the bike? how well it absorbs bad roads? bangalore roads are pathetic
. This was the reason I chose CBR over R15....

I guess by end of this week ownership thread will be up.
Regarding riding comfort, yes you can vouch over it. Handle bars are properly placed and rider seat is very comfortable. Moreover you will foget aggressive seating posture on it.
Personal view, I can ride it nonstop for much longer distance as compared to my R15v2 without stress.
But if you need majorly for office purpose, then think twice later you should not regret on mileage and servicing costs, because this bike is among the entry level premium bikes and it can dig a hole in your pocket if you are thinking about it.
