Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
My handle mod is still on hold as the SVC has the base plate but didnt bring the clamps. I am sick of them. They now say it will talk 15 more days which according to me shld be atleast a month.
Found a communication app to use as intercom. "LINEAPP" havent used it yet but seems to be good.

KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hmm that is an issue I am ready to live without. Disc brake locks are more safe than handle lock. Secondly the immobilizer wont allow the bike to start either.Originally posted by ynike99 View PostHey,
I was just wondering, how will you fix the handle lock on duke triple t.

glad to see another one from Jaipur.
buy the motorcycle as the usual process however before the registration is done
go ahead with booking a number from the RTO along with the DD they need for the same.
in case they are giving registration from the showroom itself then ask them to request for a special number which the showroom agent will do for you."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Just be aware of KTM lajapt nagar they are cheat so better buy and service from other Ktm from NCR. In last orange tour to Mussorie they cancelled the trip last minute and dido not refund customers money. On asking them they said their staff runaway with money. It's a cheat company and I have myself complained about this to them. Also earlier there was a complain against them when I book bike with them they did not wanted to give to the customer as per waiting list. Only after complaint to Ktm india and Ktm global action was taken.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
First service done @ 800KMs.
Total cost 1725RS including TAX.
Service center is running out of spare nuts and bolts.
SVC guys are busy with many other duke/rcs that they dont have attention on problems/issue with much care and importance.
They didn't changed RPM limits, i have to do it later.
They dint changed service interval to 7500KM on console, its still @ 1000KM, so need to check how I can change that on own.
Observations:
1. Clutch is feeling more hard now. anyone can answer why?
2. Bike sound is changed, earlier it sounds really good but now sound is not that much clear and surprisingly more vibrating sound is there than earlier.
3. Engine oil leak issue seems to be resolved, no more oil leak observed yet.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hello Guys,
My RC390 has completed 3000 kms and today morning, when I was driving at around 15 kmph in traffic, the ignition got switched off completely.
Toggling the ignition and kill switch didn't help either. I had to run my hand below the handle bar to locate the wire which runs from kill switch to the battery and after fiddling with it for 5 mins suspecting it to be a loose connection, I was able to power up the vehicle. This happened once every 2 mins and I managed to reach home.
Got to visit the SVC today. Has anyone faced this issue?Last edited by shrihari4; 06-08-2015, 04:30 PM."Sometimes, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere; and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself"

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
When was the lack time you checked your valve clearances and timing chain? Check your valve clearance and the related components. Loose timing chain and improper valve clearances, all can negatively impact performance in the long run. These are the types of sounds that requires intervening ASAP.Originally posted by dannyR15 View PostHey guys my right hand ride of the engine is making a loud clattering sound -_-, any ideas as to what it is?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

bikes done about 5k kms, and sound seems to be from the clutch basket

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
If you suspect the sound is emanating from the clutch side, chances are something is either loose or may have been chipped, as there have been reported cases of clutch failure on the run getting riders by surprise and gets them stranded. As I reiterated above, get it checked.Originally posted by dannyR15 View Postbikes done about 5k kms, and sound seems to be from the clutch basket
