Most of the bikes come with factory filled mineral oil for a proper break in process.

Exactly, that link is the reason why i asked here to confirm if it really comes with synthetic oil.

You can use a mineral or semi synthetic as long as the oil grades matches. However the replacement interval may reduce.

So for mineral about 1.8-2k km, semisynthetic can run 3-4.5k km, and fully synthetic can easily last over 5-6k km and may require a check once in a while every 2000km for top-up if required.

Safer side use recommended oil as other oils can make the engine characteristics change a little, also you will end up doing frequent pit stops. Better get the synthetic.

There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

Usually fully synthetic oil cost from 700 rs per litre. May be its just synthetic blend since they are priced less than 400

Well, my bike broke down for the 3rd time yesterday, due to some battery problem.

Took it to the service centre today, turns out the battery is dead! Can't believe the battery died in just 1 year with just 7000 odd kilometres even though I ride it everyday for about 25kms!

This was never the case with my previous bike where I had replaced the battery after 5 years and 25000kms later!

The first 2 instances of breakdown was due to the battery too?

Hello everyone , I'm also a FZ25 owner. I'm an amateur rider and this is my first bike I've got back in August 2017
Here are some of the observations I've captured while riding. Give a look and a feedback would be helpful

That is the fully synthetic 10w40 that dealerships put in on first service. It's NOT the factory filled oil. I have confirmed this from a seasoned Yamaha service manager. He has confirmed the same practice for FZ/fazer family and R15 too.

That's why I don't prefer changing oil at svc. But only coz of warranty purpose I'm changing.

They'll end up refusing the warranty anyway. Even a horn change voids warranty.

Yup. 1st-time jump started it, 2nd and 3rd-time push start. 2nd time I had even given it for charging.

Yeah, that's true. Does not feel like a Yamaha bike.
