@vijaymeyou : Useful information there
I did get confused between the chrome and zinc plating for a min there.Is the life better on zinc plating or chrome plating.
But most of the parts in the pics are zinc plated rather than usually chrome plated.Usually only the spoke nuts are zinc plated here rest all the parts are chrome plated.sigpic

Got hold of RXG wiring, checked the male/female sockets, they are matching with RDD Lighting kit. One down, uff!.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostYes they will undoubtedly.
Need to see how the wiring harness would fit on RX100 reaching all the required plugins.

Great. Now all you need to do is hook up the wiring to the bike, connect all the lights, switches etc. use the stock 12v CDI and see if there is spark and then connect the RDD CDI wires . Use a new battery and connect the longest brown wire on the CDI to the wiring harness last.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostGot hold of RXG wiring, checked the male/female sockets, they are matching with RDD Lighting kit. Ok. But I have only RDD CDI which is in RX135. So I'm planning to run on stock CDI.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostGreat. Reposting my question here:-
Can I use RX135 stock 12v CDI on RX100? Here they do not have stock and asking me to check after.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Oh ok. What happened to the 100 CDi? a 135 CDI shouldnt be a problem. Be sure to time the bike right.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostOk. But I have only RDD CDI which is in RX135. So I'm planning to run on stock CDI.

I could not recognize as it had no information on the box. Thought would procure a new one.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostOh ok. What happened to the 100 CDi?
Thanks Nitesh, will try to procure a RX100 CDI unit, if not will go for RX135's.a 135 CDI shouldnt be a problem.
I believe plonking RX100 stock CDI would not require timing as I can fix in the slot provided on the lighting kit, correct?Be sure to time the bike right.
Do we need to time if I it happens RX135 CDI unit on a RX100? I thought only if we are placing RDD CDI unit. Right now, want to run the bike on stock and procure RDD CDI a little later.

yes, if the CDI is for 12v it should not be a prob. You will however need to time the bike as the kit does not come with any fixed slots. If timing is a problem , just plonk the coil plate fully clockwise and run n check.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI could not recognize as it had no information on the box. Shouldn't that be full anti-clockwise? Because I have the guide taken out from RDDreams long back, when refered, it says we need to drill holes next to coil plate on to the left. Ok, let me attach the pic and guide me if I'm wrong in my understanding.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostIf timing is a problem , just plonk the coil plate fully clockwise and run n check.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

This additional hole is to advance the timing by a few degrees ,for stock timing setup this will not be necessary...otherwise we can always use the timing light and find out by ourselves and set it right......Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostShouldn't that be full anti-clockwise? Yes the hole has to made to the left of the stock hole. Which means the plate will turn clockwise when you mount it. Check the directions of the arrow in the pic.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostShouldn't that be full anti-clockwise? Thanks Sir. Since this is going to be stock, might not need to work much on timing light I thought.Originally posted by psr View PostThis additional hole is to advance the timing by a few degrees ,for stock timing setup this will not be necessary...otherwise we can always use the timing light and find out by ourselves and set it right......
Thanks Nitesh. Since I'm going to run stock for the time being, will fix on to the right extreme of the slot.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostYes the hole has to made to the left of the stock hole. Just fixing it fully CW will make the timing too advanced on a stock CDI. Pls use a timing light and keep adjusting the plate till you get a proper timing on the light.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostThanks Sir. Update:-
I always wanted to protect the fenders from rust. Thought of painting it with some corrosion resistant paints. So visited few shops and finally bought under chassis paint for cars. It's a liter Tin pack only available. After coming back home thought would go to terrace for the paint work. Since Chennai shines generously and would not take much time to dry.
So dived into the pile of boxes to pick the fenders out. Opened the fenders to look and it was to my surprise that it already had a paint coat looked like some epoxy/enamel. I was able to see some traces of paint sprayed mild on the bolt slots.

Any thoughts?RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011
