Looks more like the primer coat...since the coating is already there to prevent rust formation ,guess the preferred color can be painted on it...unless you are thinking of Chroming it.
Timing the Ignition will make sure you have a properly set and running engine, and takes the guessing out of it...and anyway it is available for use anytime...so let us make the best use of it.

      • Update:-

Fenders after the under chassis coating for anti-corrosion. It took 3 good days of drying. Damn! Not sure why it took so long. Is it because of multiple coats given to them?

        Before and After

        Paint smudges during the process

Cleaned up the mess using thinner. This is my first time with paint and brush so tried giving best shot.

After some reminders to myself and follow ups, got some of the painted parts back.

Frame, stay, L brackets & crown handle. Still T stem and front forklegs to arrive soon.

The paint job is decent and finish is good. Paint used MRF. I will keep them in the balcony for couple of days for the paint to set completely.

its due to the general characteristic of the under chassis paint. viscouse rubber like paint ?..

Yes, even now it is slightly sticky. Anyways, I'm not going to keep my hands on the inner side again. So be it.

Yet to get RX135 CDI unit. The engine case bolts gone missing or misplaced. So will need to buy them again. Thinking of replacing the front fork springs for best results. And the list goes on..I'm afraid complete rebuild might start only next month.

                      • I decided to have RX135 CDI instead of RX100 in order to match the RX135 wiring kit socket inturn match RDD Lighting kit. So I started to explore the frame and of an old RX135 in my other room with newly painted RX100, found there were few differences. Among them the first happen to be the CDI mounting area. The RX135 CDI has wing mount on the sides(left right) whereas the stock RX100 CDI has just one mounting point at top. So I'm still not through with the intial ground work and thought still few more to go.

There were two options I could think of, either I weld some extra piece of plate on to the frame or even considering chopping the CDI left/right mounting point to squeeze between the cradle to sit on the clamp.

Call up and visited PSR Sir today with the frame to his house. After some careful study of mounting and the measurement, he came up with a solution. Simple.. a clamp he had in his sparesroom happened to be exact fit. Bingo! We did not even have size the hole, it was perfect. Just bold it type. Bolted for measurement and finally decided do away the idea of welding job. But there seem to be a minor length adjustment that had to be made to the CDI since it will be mounted sideways than upright. So we cut the bottom area by few mm carefully so that we do not cut the CDI wires by mistake.

Thank you PSR Sir for your valuable time and effort.
