Thank you PSR Sir for your valuable time and effort.
I must say thanks to you for awakening my brain and prevent it from rusting...

Nitesh, the CDI is not opened rather the edges have been trimmed to minimum so that wires are not disturbed.

No it wasn't necessary. The CDI had 3mm extra length on all sides at the sealing end ,which prevented it from being mounted sideways. We wanted to have both the CDI mounting holes to be used for clamping it down so in the limited space between the frame members, had to mount it sideways....the wires and the epoxy sealant were untouched...
See the cut piece in Mr.Sriram's hand which should make things easier to understand..

            • Wonderful!!

I've been silently watching the thread for a long time sriram sir(the primary reason being I understand only a few things). Its really inspiring to see how you have patiently collected data and learnt how to rebuild a bike properly. Waiting for your RX to go vroom!!

BTW the CDI housing is made of what material?? And since one end has been trimmed of, won't water or dust entry be an issue?? Just curious.

the whole circuit board with components is inserted into the plastic housing and is made to stand upside down...the epoxy sealant is then poured into it to seall it off from all elements ...so the whole unit is sealed and we had cut off the excess case length of 3mm,which extends over and above the sealing.

Thanks for the reply psr sir. Lucky that you found a clamp of exact match, I mean even the hole size. Welding another piece in between the frame would have been difficult and needs perfection I guess. Good for sri sir. How is the CDI placed in the 135?? I presume both have the same frame.

The RX135 CDI is placed in the same bracket where stock 100 CDI would fit. However, with little trim, now sits fine.

FYI.. Even though RX100 and RX135 looks similar in frame however, mounting clamps makes the difference. For example, CDI, powerbox(boost bottle) mount rivet on on bar (below tank) and if I'm not wrong the RX135 is slightly edges in length (have not measured it, but experienced when seated position?).

Oh.....And the voltage required is the same?? I mean, if the 135 CDI needs more power then the 100 needs to constantly kept above a particular rpm right?? And did u refer to YEIS as the powerbox?? Sry I'm askin too many questions....

They can be interchangably used. You are correct, Powerbox/boost bottle refer to YEIS.

If you are eagarly waiting to see it completely built, imagine myself having all the parts around me and waited for months. How eagar will that be? Patience.. is what the current situation demands. One last thing to add to my list and will go all out. I'm sure you'll have some updates very shortly.

Yes I sure can relate to what you mean sir as i have just finished my Yamaha and Shogun very recently.... to build one exactly how you want requires a lot of patience.

Hats off to you for taking so much pains for your baby.... by the way did you get your desired pistons??
