    Exactly. Open the kicker, give a smooth kick, press the clutch, engage the gear, whack open the throttle & let the 4-Strokers keep smelling the exhaust of 2-strokes.

    Many many years ago, i recalled a Shogun had something like this written behind its rear mud flap "Eat my Dust". How true is that statement.

      Well, seems like I am spreading the "Shogun" virus pretty well - another friend of mine just picked up a basket case for 6K . This one needs a lot of attention though, so couple of things I need help with:

      If anyone knows what is the meaning of 1.00 on the piston, please let me know. I guess it is one of the oversize pistons, but please correct me if I am wrong.

      If anyone has a spare bore kit lying around for the shogun (stock size) that they can do without, let me know. And while I am at it, if anyone has a console.........

      I won't add anything more now, 'cuz this are the stuffs that are most desperately needed .

      Other than that, the other shogun has settled into a steady rhythm and is returning 30+ kpl happily, and it has stopped chewing up spark plugs.

      P.S.: what is the carburetor on Shogun? VM 20/22/24?

        @1eighty: 1.00 on the piston means that its running on 4th oversize ,
        shogun came with vm20 carburattor

          Err no, Shogun does not have a 4th oversize. STD, 1st and 2nd.

          1.00 = 2nd oversize and final.

          1eighty, I have a used bore and head that is fairly okay. No seizures. Can sell it for 1k. PM me if you want it. Bore + Head. No pistons and rings. You can for now use it with Goetze pistons and rings. Preferably making it 1st oversize.

            that is new to me ,thought that oversizes were in .25 incriments

              For the gun, its 0.50 increments and 2 oversizes only.

                I have got myself a truly junk-ed RX-100.

                    RD 350 in Hindi Film

                    I am not into television watching much, but on the weekend i was just surfing the channels & somehow i got stuck to Hindi Film titled "Shehenshah". It is a 1988 Amitabh Bachchan starrer action film.

                    ANd then in a few mins there was a song sequence with the Heroin lying flat on a Black Air Cooled Yamaha (Rajdoot) RD350. I was glued to the TV for the next few mins, just to get a glimpse of the RD in mint condition & in action.

                    A must watch for all the RD fans here.

                          And the heroin in Shahenshah is Meenakshi Sheshadri as well. So looks like RD & MS go hand in hand. Anyways i love both of them.

                            Long time quiet from all of the 2T fanatics. We have managed to fit the Apache RTR chain sprocket on the shogun, and now we are starting the bike in 2nd gear.

                            The first gear has become dangerous.

                            Everytime the cluth is released the front wheel makes a frantic attempt to snatch the clouds out of the sky

                                Yes. The entire Apache RTR setup. 13 front, 44 rear, and the chain. The chain is 124 link, you need to cut it down to 112 link. Don't try this with the o-ring chain. Go for the aftermarket chains which are non o-ring chains, like Diamond or Rolon
