The 125 was launched in limited numbers in Delhi they say. It was for real at least at some auto shows.. have a few pics of how a brand new looked like. The one in the pic just has the logo .

I remember the auto mags of the day kept reporting about the RX 125, Car & Bike international IIRC even had a photo of it. I remeber it had a bikini fairing and the the console had two of the RX speedo style rectangular meters one for KMPH and one for RPM. It aparently was not launched or very few were launched due to envoirnmental issues. Later in 1996 the RX 100 was also stopped and the RXG with the 135 engine came out.

Let me find my old mags archive from the loft. Like Yamahatrooper said, it was in 'Car n bike International' mag.

RD 350 speedo Unit...

what is it on the left side (Red One)near the gear lever...

fuel tank looks a little bulky (Looks odd)

RD 350 brake lights...

rear shocks

Looks like a suzuki (Old TVS Suzuki) with all mods...dont mistake me pls

guys i am going to buy a USED 4 speed rx 135 carb this weekend in the seconds market here in coimbatore...any suggestions guys to check any important faults in it? except the number 4TL 01 and jet numbers....??

Yes............I do have one..........though the release was a super hush hush then and no camera allowed inside a TVS factory,hence can provide with only a small image

Here are some more pics of the so called RX125. I have had a careful observation at the engine part & also the RC Book, the bike is actually a 98cc i.e RX100. Maybe this was just a market gimmick.

Note the meter assembly, it says "Rajdoot" & not "Yamaha".

There was never really any 125cc 2-stroke bike launched in India except the KB125.

The RX125 badge on the RX bikes once was a trend over here in Chennai during the 90's. My school senior used to have this RX125 badge on his 100 for some attraction those days.

May be it was released abroad, I wouldn't think Escorts-Yamaha ever manufactured for Indian market.

I used to see a maroon RX with the RX125 logo in Mysore everyday. Wondering if this is the same bike.

Anyways there is a real RX125 in Mysore. Light blue colour, has disc brake in the front, the old type disc brakes where caliper is in front of the fork leg. Got clutch/magnet and engine covers similar to the early RXKs.

yes you right only RX125 has caliper in front of the fork here in PK we also have some
