Today on my way to office, saw couple of 2-Strokes, the 1st one was a beautifully maintained Suzuki Shaolin (Black with Pink Stickering) and the 2nd was a Rajdoot 175. I was on my HH Splendor & it was real fun trailing them, the exhaust note, the blue smoke, ah man. I am missing my RX so much, btw Splendor is my standby ride.

Happy New Year To all the strokers, particularly Karthik who gave us the gift of this wonderful thread as a place to hang out with the other strokers.
Pray the emission norms don't make riding strokers entirely illegal, or petrol doesn't run out, it's price may come down, and soft compound 3.0" tyres, and cops refusing bribes from helmet law violators.......boy, got a bit carried away.
Happy, thrilling and safe riding for all.The Beast: Classic 180 in scarlet

A very happy new year to the Smoker gang
I picked up a 1996 Shogun and after almost a year at TVS,and the bill that spanned a few pages of tvs paper :P i got her back in October 2010.
She has been rock steady, pretty trouble free so far for the 3500ks i have covered & is a hoot to ride.
She turns head everywhere.Random people stop me over & give a thumbs up for maintaining it..(feel proud to restore her from shambles, when i picked her up)
Prior to the gun, i have been riding a 200 CC 4stroke, and it can not be beaten on long distance(>500KM) high speed runs, within the city limits & for a burst of acceleration nothing comes close to the gun.
In my novice hands my gun smoked up a few biggies, and i am sure with proper tuning & a better nut between the seat and handlebar she can smoke up a lot more
here are a few pics of my baby gun

Attached is a gps snapshot(please don't start an argument) of what she is capable of.

I found something strange about how Shogun puts down its torque.........while the power peaks at 8500 rpms, the Torque peaks at 8250 rpms
,which means it is a typically high revving bike like the R15.............so when compared to the RX135s,it maybe sluggish at midrange and even low end but would sprint faster at top end.
The run-in of my modded Shogun is yet to be done, once done I am sure its gonna be ridiculously fast at high end rev points.Last edited by MACH50; 01-31-2011, 08:51 PM.Hell's Angel

my rx 135 5s was running good a day before!! but when i started it yesterday it was stuttering very badly!!! dunno why
i dint touch the carb recently !! i changed the plug to stock a dya before!! so i thought it would have been due to change of plug , so i fitted the previous 5Hs plug!! still the stuttering is there!! it is stuttering as if it is sucking the last drop of petrol !!when i give throttle it stutters very badly with a bad noise!!but at a moderate throttle and high throttle it respods as usual and in neutral it is normal!! is it because the mixture is running rich?? i added double oil for each ltr!! coz i was going on a ride to ooty!! guys any suggestions to rectify it??

Rx is a Phoenix!!! It always rise from ashes!!

^^ you might have a clogged carb or a fault reed valve.. check and clean the carb. replace the reed. If the spark plug is ok. then these are the two other factors.
Other matter would be a clogged fuel tap.

i fitted a brand new OEM fuel tap a month ago !! so that is ruled out!! i have to check the carb!! meanwhile if the first two problems are present will the bike respond in high throttle and mid throttle??Originally posted by jd666 View Post^^ you might have a clogged carb or a fault reed valve.. check and clean the carb. replace the reed.
