Haven't pushed it still, widened ports, fibre reeds, bigger carb ,Kn air filter, custom bent pipe and pseudobox, already in place.

To know the actual Shogun limit I have to push it hard above 8000 rpm atleast and now is not the time,The bike has hardly done 70kms on its new engine.
I seldom get time to take it around for normal spin.

It did exist and was not commercially produced.
Suzuki Shaolin bore and Suzuki Shogun seven point torque induction ports along with five gears constituted the Suzuki Shadow.
It used to pump out 16PS power in stock conditions with just 110kg or so kerb weight. It used a cat-con enabled exhaust but unfortunately the emission norms went stricter and TVS became doubtful about its production.

This caused a rift between Suzuki who conceptualized and wanted to commercialize the Shadow and TVS.

The Shadow was a new model and was meant to compete in a market which had the new RXZ & RX135 5-speed, classic Pulsar180 and the first gen Karizma.
                It had alloy wheels too.

But that is now a long lost dream and is kept at the TVS factory as a historical model.

yes if u have access to the inside of the factory you would see one in blue standing pristinely in a corner reminding the company's prowess when it came to small cc 2T performance.

It could be running lean. Add extra fuel without oil to make it a proper premix again.
                            check for clogged pilot jet.
check HT coil lead wire/ spark plug wire for loose contacts.

Back in the late 90's i had a pic of the Shadow. It looked basically the same but with 80's style Suzuki 'star' shaped mags and a front disc. People had many hopes from the bike back then.
