Thanks bro
. For my 87% they asked 3l. Since we knew a person there it went down to 2l
.
Btw pls try to emboss(not sure what the word is
) the RTZ thing on the sides of the seat. I believe thats the only place where the bike had its RTZ name.
And is your fuel gauge and tacho working now? And you also said she coughed when you took her for a short stint. How is she doing now?Tour De Thekkady

nothing much to report,a lot of problems seems to be cropping up after the rebuild and the mech is not intrested in fixing it
.....time to buy an old stroker and learn the ropes of DIY

Wow
Hi kb100,
I don't know how I missed this thread all the time. Found it today and just wen't through it, every post. Wow amazing. It looks great after the paint job and hmmmmm hats off to your patience.
I have been riding a KB for the last 10yrs. Right now I am not in india and hence she is under covers for the last 2+ months. Must say its a great bike. Parts are really really hard to find now but back in hyderabad, I know a few shops and almost always find the parts, though its takes time.
Looking at your bike in the completed form, I now wish to get mine chromed and painted but wouldn't want to do it while I am not there. I must say I am lucky since my mech is a nice friend of mine who is known to me for like 15yrs and while I used to fix most of the parts myself, he never said No to me. I usually go to him when he has less bikes on hand and gives more attention to it. A few times I checked with a couple of other mechanics and the moment they see a KB, they say "sorry sir we dont repair this".
So how does it feels now with the new bore kit? I know the time you have spent on this is invaluable. Any idea on the total amount spent thus far?
Btw less than a year back, I did replace its tacho cable, I did manage to find one, it wasn't original but seems to be doing the job just about fine. It costed me like 85 bucks.
Hmmmmmmm my bike also needs a new piston - it has good power but is making sound - the pin on the piston to stop the ring rotation - one of it is broken and that is causing the ring to not sit properly. Will try and fix her when I visit.
Once again - its nice to see someone take such great care of a KB

yaser_kb100: thanks man
, the bike is being run-in so cant comment on it , i havent calculated the total damage but should be over 20k , if you can get some one to stock spares for you as they are extremely rare now, get the piston replaced asap or it will ruin the bore
will post a guide for rebuild soon

Congrats
@kb 100 : Congrats on your rebuild. I was glacing the posts for today and i saw yours which captured attention. I use to admire KB100 during my college days, the time when i did not have two wheeler, where HH Splendor was ruling.
I also like this bike. I read your entire thread. Good effort always pays off.
Congrats
Regards,
Deva.

Not a big KB fan, but congrats on that "factory rollout" build. I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed it. (I bet you did).
The KB100 is (very) rarely spotted on roads, so expect some queries like "hey once again are they making it?" In traffic signals. To save time and further questions, reply short with "Yes". Leave the person to wonder for the rest
Also wanted to ask you, just in front of the cylinder, is that the horn? Big round thing? Or some kind of cooling procedure for the engine?
Comment

yup its the horn (loud one) and not any high tech cooling apparatus
