Just today got the clutch plates and oil for FZ changed. Got spare clutch cable, clutch, brake levers and spare tube. So all bike part purchasing / servicing complete.

Got Velcro straps sized for the tankbag. Filled tank bag with 5kg material and drove around to check strength of straps. Absolutely no problem.

Will be working in yamaha showroom with a mechanic and supervisor next week to learn how to change wheels, make minor repairs, change clutch cable etc.

1st guy to get all prepared for ride.......good one.vishwas.. will sure meet u guys after your ride for necessary suggestions on my leh trip this season in july end.

Had a word wid Satyen today & Ive now booked a P220.

Only problem, Bikes not available in any other colour than black because of May16 i.e Akshay Tritiya. Will get upa bike & a dates from the dealer tomm.

Now im really desperate. The only thing I need to buy for this ride is a bike & a pair of good WP shoes. Hope everything falls in place.

@Inder: If im commin, how will we go ahead wid the permits.

Yes but then inderpaaji would have taken offense to someone like me riding the best touring bike like him.

Just a tip: get the Clutch cable, throttle cable etc taped to the existing ones. If it breaks, then that will save the time to hunt for it and instal the new one!!
PS: I hope you have tyre tubes as well!

Cool! Permits should not be an issue, I dont think everyone has mailed the papers. Speaking of myself, I havent as well! (lazy me)

You better remember the highest cubic capacity bike carries all the luggage! so

PS: you should probably read some other ZMA exploits at Rohtang... known to be extremely good, or get extremely chocked as well!
