Viraj as said earlier also we dont want any noob riders with usOriginally posted by viraj_s85 View PostPlease document all this information and contact information of all these guys next year I am going to Leh along with Swapnil, mithun and few other from thane gang since you guys not taking us this time

. Saale tujhe bola tha aane ke liye hamare saath, u were the first ones to be contacted for this ride. Koi baat nahin sir as said there is always a next time.
Also be prepared to ride 2 bikes to Khardung La and many other passes, one would be your R15 and the other would be a 220
. Better give the 220 wala some serious off roading practise.
@ Angelo :- Dude if you put a bike in any train check the arrival of the same at your required destination. You can take your bike to the station 3 to 4 hours before the arrival of the train at the source station and get them packed and documented. Also beware the agents ask for exorbitant money for loading and all. Actually there is no fee for loading and you can just give some money to the loader as a gesture. But this agent asks anywhere around 700 Rs per bike. So beware and act accordingly. If you need any further assistance feel free to call me. My no. is there on the ICE sheet.

Sachin, xstunter: "we dont want any noob riders with us"
I guess thats the reason you guys don't want to take me along! I might be new to this forum but I'd like to clarify that am not a noob. I've done following trips:
Bombay - Goa - Bombay thrice
Bombay - Pune - Mulshi - Lonavala - Bombay twice
Bombay - Ratnagiri - Ganpatiphule - Bombay once
Bombay - Malshej - Bombay once
Bombay - Lavasa - Bombay once
Bombay - Pune and Bombay - Lonavala numerous times
In my initial reply I sounded like a liability, I know but the paper work is now sorted. Have got all the riding gear required for such a long trip: helmet, jacket, boots, knee guards, etc. The bike is fully serviced, I've a 2005 Thunderbird. Have stocked all the necessary spares like clutch cable, puncture repair kit, foot pump, extra oil, tool kit, hammer etc. Other necessities like flash light, head lamp, medicines mentioned by vishwas, gps, etc. has been packed.
I request you guys to at least meet up at New Delhi station tomorrow, collect your bikes, do the sight seeing and you guys can later decide whether am eligible to be riding with you guys or not!
Checkout the shots I took of India Gate and few other random places...

Hoping to make it with you guys

^ Are maxThrill ji aap toh bura maan gaye. Dude it was a totally pun intended message thrown at Viraj who is a very expert rider too. The thing is that we are now totally 5 riders and now it would be difficult to incorporate more people. We have mutually discussed and decided that no more entries, as bigger the group, bigger can be the mess/confusions created. It has not got anything to do with the experience or the riding styles. We also have a member who is not that experienced with long distance driving, but at the early stages the group strength was less and hence he was inducted into the group. We have ridden with each other many times for long distances too and developed a bond between ourselves which is very much essential in a ride of this magnitude.
I apologize if being rude or stubborn, but you know its a team decision and not meant to offence anyone. Also we are not just the only group riding from Mumbai alone. I guess there was a guy named Neil Vyas who was also searching for a riding partner to Leh this period.
Peace dude!

Deepan

Hey,
Thanks for the quick reply. The screw up is that I was suppose to with this friend but he couldn't make it. And I assumed that I'll get along with you guys and reached Delhi. I've spent a week here and as you guys are the only ones I know who are starting tomorrow, I thought maybe I'll get in. But the decision has been made, so I'll start the journey alone! Don't want to wait any further and also it's not like no one has done this solo
Peace bro

Hey, all the best. If you are doing this solo, i'd be eager to read your travelogue. I'm going to Leh next year and preparations are already on the way. Ill never forget the beauty of Rothang pass, that is back in 2007. I want to repeat this time to Leh. May god be with you.Originally posted by maxThriLL View PostHey,

You are damn right but I will teach them like Kung-Fu panda or Karate Kid and make them True Bikers who can ride their bike not only on straight highways but on places where you won't imagineOriginally posted by xstunter View PostViraj as said earlier also we dont want any noob riders with us

A bike on the road is worth two in the shed

Young riders pick a destination and go... Old riders pick a direction and go

You will network till ~Keylong.
Next signal you will get at ~Upshi.
No problems after that.
From Leh to Srinagar, you will get signals in almost all 'cities'. After Srinagar, no problems again

Current rides-
Iron 883 (2015- ); Interceptor 650 (2019- )
