Riding Bag
Hello Guys ..
I am writing a short review on cramster laplace bag that i received 2 days ago ..
Tired searching internet but couldn't find any expert review or of some sorts .. or maybe i might have missed it ..
Here it goes ..
I was in a need of laptop bag that some carry helmet around alongside being spacious enough to hold clothes for 1-2 days trip ..
Searched and came across this bag ..
Purchase was made through adventure18.com. for 1950/-.. Weirdly the cramster apply shipping charges as additional on the product price whereas the adventure18 ships for free :P .. Took 5 days to deliver ..
The bag :
Bag looks good but the its a dust magnet .. Attracts dust quite easily ..
The strap, mobile holder and backside of the bag :
The strap is sturdy and has thick foam inside making it comfortably and doesn't strain the shoulder much ..
The mobile holder is small though .. could fit a small phone like blackberry .. And the back of bag again has thick foam padding in shoulder and hip joint area with mesh ..
Insides :
The bag has ample space in both the middle and the back section ..
The middle section gulped up 2 jeans 3tshirts and a pair of other clothes ..
Whereas the the laptop section took in perfectly a 15.6inch laptop ,charger, wireless mouse and 2 pairs of shirts plus a formal pants ..
This section has 2 divisions .. one for laptop and other to keep any other stuff .. there a small organizer present with pen holders and a mesh pocket ..
All this clothes i used to demonstrate the space the bag plus if one properly organizes it and folds clothes or the riding jacket much more stuff could get in .. I simply dumped everything in ..
Zips are good and even though completely stuffed the zippers zipped and unzipped easily ..
Theres a Bottle holder on both sides .. Can fit medium sized bottle though ..
Theres a small section behind the helmet holder which can be used to keep small number items and has internal key-clip there's a strap provided to fasten the pocket also.. Again theres small organizer present ..
Bag when fully stuffed with helmet ..
The helmet holder as 3 straps to fasten helmet in its place .. Holds firmly while walking .. theres a thin padding that protects the helmet from getting scratched..
The build quality of the bag felt good .. only thing missing is a rain cover ..
Overall i Would a say a vfm bag for city cum college/office going purpose or trip that would last for a day or two ..Last edited by vivek7593; 05-09-2015, 08:04 PM.sigpic

Re: Riding Bag
Sorrry f am posting on the wrong thread. Mods: Please move to the proper section. I dont know the correct thread.
Lately, i am seeing the type of seat modificatrion or cover on many motorbikes here in chennai and around places. I have seen this 3D mesh type seat on almost every type of bikes. From commuters to 200ns and dukes.
Whats it used for. Is there any proper comfort that we can get from this.
Wehn enquired at a shop, it costs around 300 to 600 rupees, depending on some quality range.
Has anyone using this 3D mesh type seat modification. If so, can someone give a review of it.
Cheers

Re: [UT]: Biking backpacks and Luggage Accessories.
I am not using it myself, but following are the benefits:
1. Increases grip
2. Improves looks
3. Additional padding
4. No water seepage
5. Easy breathing due to perforation
1-3 are characteristics of all seat covers in general.
This does add some bulk to the seat, which is good for some.
But it definitely feels and looks cool.
If you're looking for a more sleek look like I was, you're probably better off with art leather/rexine.

Re: [UT]: Biking backpacks and Luggage Accessories.
Thanks for those pointers. I am actually looking for some extra cushioning for my back. I happen to travel minimum of 30 km one stretch, if at all m taking bike. With all the city traffic, this happens to take around one hour and with the current set up, my bum starts aching. Ever since this set up has come most of the seat cover guys, are reluctant to put any kind of proper extra cushioning with rexine covering. They are just pushing this altogether. May be their work is reduced and they get the similar price as payment. Does this really help in comfort. Or can you share any other ideas for extra cushioning.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI am not using it myself, but following are the benefits:

Re: [UT]: Biking backpacks and Luggage Accessories.
If extra cushioning is what you're looking for, seat covers won't help.
I think you need to visit a seat shop, or even a sofa repair guy with your seat. Then you have 2 options:
1. Add more foam to the existing seat
This will increase the seat height
2. Replace seat foam with different density foam
You will have choices if you get different density
Others can pour in their suggestions please.

Re: [UT]: Biking backpacks and Luggage Accessories.
I have used those seat covers on my Karizma. The ride comfort improved dramaticallly after that. Now I don't know the reason for this and am not sure if this happens in all the cases, but 12-15 hours ride on Karizma became a breeze. No chafed butt etc. I think it might be due to increased ventilation but I am not sure. Been thinking of getting these for my N650 as well...Originally posted by emm View PostThanks for those pointers. I am actually looking for some extra cushioning for my back. Re: [UT]: Biking backpacks and Luggage Accessories.
In the market for a saddle bag for my duke 200 as well and have narrowed down my options to Via Terra claw mini and Dirtsack speed bag.I have a feeling that mounting the terraclaw on the already tall duke 200 would hinder getting on the off the bike.I am no acrobat and this is a serious concern. Moreover ,will the bike be easy to handle with the weight on the terraclaw higher up on the seat?
On the other hand dirtsack speed bag seems like a good option since it comes in orange and is sleek as well. But am not sure how good a product is how water resistant it is.Is there any issue of the dirtsack scrapping the tyres?
If i ever plan to do a 15 days+ trip..i Have an option to buy the dirtsack tail bag as well.
thanks

Are talking about cross as in helmet brand or the motocross one ?Originally posted by gkkarnik View Postsorry, actually i was tired finding a review on laplace 4.0, and thanks a lot.

I haven't tired the motocross type helemet since i dont have one ...
But it should fit you can adjust the straps according to the helmet ..
Remember to keep the the protruding beak upwards then it should fit ..
