u should do the winding again, also use fresh wire don't do with the old wire again and max amp of ape rr is 20amps as sajjt said some pages back........

I just gave the bike to mech & got it back with extra rectifier. so i don't know about it fullyOriginally posted by shoeb2015 View PostSo are you rectifying the regulated AC current from the headlight to the battery ? Or Directly from the coils ?
Rajaselvam just make sure the voltage at batt terminals is less than 15volts even at high rpm or you risk blowing something.
.I asked about the circuit he explained, the input of the rectifier is from coil & output to battery. There is only four wires, two for input & two for output.
he said it's directly from coil but all electrical parts are working perfectly. If the voltage is high all must have fried na.
Today i used both HID & Horn in a traffic drive about half an hour both worked well.Horn not cried & the battery also not drained.
I've to open my bike to see what he did exactly

Today i've measured the voltage of new rectifier at battery terminals. It's not exceed 14.55v
Only battery - 13.32V
Engine one Idle - 14.25V
At full throttle - 14.55V
I don't know how to measure amps
I just open the battery side panel. Rectifier is under the Fuel tank near to old RR. So i can only see even not clearly but couldn't take picture. I'll update the pics 2mrw.

see this image, this way u can measure the amps
switch on hid and other loads the amps should come in +, if it is coming - then this indicates current is drawn from battery......

till the time your battery is working fine the voltage would be clamped, but god forbid, if your battery dies, your bike is gonna be sssssssssssmokin'Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostI just gave the bike to mech & got it back with extra rectifier. so i don't know about it fully

Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

How can the RR cost just Rs 200 ?Originally posted by Abhijeet Bhattacharjee View Posttill the time your battery is working fine the voltage would be clamped, but god forbid, if your battery dies, your bike is gonna be sssssssssssmokin'

Is it a duplicate or a local made RR ?
@Rajaselvam can you take a picture of it and can you get some more details about the RR?
When you wanted two wire in and two wires out
you could have used Pulsar UG4 RR which cost 450 and the quality is also excellent.(Max ~5 amps)

Sure man. Just bought the 19G wire. Will post some pics after completion.Originally posted by rprathin View Postu should do the winding again, also use fresh wire don't do with the old wire again and max amp of ape rr is 20amps as sajjt said some pages back........

It's local made. It's just look like a small dynamite in black color. I can see only the outer side the both side of the tube is sealed with tar like material,so couldn't see what's inside the RR.Originally posted by shoeb2015 View PostHow can the RR cost just Rs 200 ?

Change the RR to UG4 RR if you want your bike electricals to be good.Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View Postthanx man i'll check the way as you said & update the amps.

Which Diodes does he want to install ?Originally posted by dr.faramroze View PostHi friends, I converted my newly purchased Eterno to all DC this week. The mechanic insisted on installing diodes rather than Ape RR. Maybe he could not devise putting one. I used a Chloride sealed UPS battery 7ah then switched to AMCO 9ah.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
What does he mean by diodes ?
Instead of mech insisting you to use diodes,You insist him to use APE RR.
1.All you have to do is get the two ends of the coils and connect it to the gray wires of ape RR. Note-(One of the coil end may be grounded,If that is the case you will need to de-solder it)
2.Now connect the yellow wire to +ve terminal of battery and black to body earth or -ve terminal.

6N diodes for AC to DC rectification without resistor and capacitor. He said regulated DC is not necessary. Alternatively, can I put Activa's or Dio's RR because I may run all DC except the headlamp? The starter load is not important in this vehicle as it does not hvae one. Till now I am not able to source APE RR. Please give me some hint so that I have my scooter blinking in few hours. Thank you.

. Need to do that now.
. There's no continuity.
