  • Friday night I'd a trip Chennai to Bangalore & Yesterday returned from Bangalore to chennai the speed is fully 75 to 85kmph .All are in night drive,i dint touch the bike in day time on Saturday so there is no charging in day time.

Now coming to the point i used HID in the entire trip never touched Halogen. but i dint faced battery drain problem even saying the battery got charged well.i used my 4A Roots mega-sonic Horn some times it sounds clearly without crying.

so my Stock RR enough to give juice for both HID & Horn in Highway driving
But inside city it's not even enough to give juice for Horn

Tell me guys what should i do. Some of my friends & mechanic suggest me to add extra RR which they using in their bike.

    • Did tried running a 100/90w Philips rally in my GS with Full DC using APE RR.,,
Bike could able to run low, high and both simultaneously, but charging reqs higher rpms when high or both low&high together on.,

For low beam 4k rpm is req for proper charging .. didn't checked the amps though,,connected a multimeter and checked the battery charging voltage while riding.,,

Now reverted back to Philips Xtreme vision 60/55w..

The illumination of 100/90w Philips rally is almost equivalent to Philips X-Vision 60/55w ..

Cool, then I'm gonna try my 115W headlamp setup today
Iam having p 180 UG4 and i have putted Projectors in it with bixenon hid so i just want to know that how to bypass the bcu i had connected the relay positive wire to low beam wire but the problem is now coming is when i switch high beam than automatically low beam glows.... i had found that y the problem is coming it is coming because when i connect the relay positive red wire to low beam than the low beam glows fine but when i connect that wire to the high beam than the high beam glows fine... so what to do to cure this prob.....i want to run hid on stock switches only...

          3 phase

I assume your alternator is also a 3-phase unit with 12 poles, if so, I'd suggest you buy a 3-phase RR like Zma's RR or R15's RR & rewind with thicker wires & be a man

nope, that's a simple SPST relay used in most electronic circuits
i just want to ask how to use stock high/low beam & stock headlight switch for hid in pulsar Ug4......
use 2 SPST relays, connect the headlamp low-beam socket & high-beam socket to 2 separate NO terminals of each relay & short the COMM with +ve of coil for each. Connect COMM of each with the low-beam & high-beam wire respectively & you're done. Your h/l would operate with stock switches.

i had tried but it was not working the beams were not switching means if i switch it on in low beam then only low beam will work and if i want switch it to high beam for first time it will switch to high beam but after that nothing was happening ..
i was thinking to put pulsar 135 switches as they are contact ones...i will remove this headache box called bcu & i just want to ask that will battery low indicator will work without bcu.....

Bro, do have patience... my circuits haven't failed till date... I'll give you the proper diagram soon, my current schedule is too damn hectic to do anything... the one i had posted was for my 115W dual headlamp mod.

                          Edit:
Here's your circuit bro... Use 2 SPST relays.
For low beam, say relay 1:
W1 - tap from the low-beam wire from the BCU
W2 - connect to the low beam socket in the h/l bulb
                          W3 - GND/-ve

For high beam, say relay 2:
W1 - tap from the high-beam wire from the BCU
W2 - connect to the low beam socket in the h/l bulb
                          W3 - GND/-ve

Hope this helps, if headlamp sockets are H4 then this mod should work just fine & you'll be able to run your HID on stock switches.

there is the back flow of current because when i putted the diode between the high beam wire(wire which was comming from bcu and going to the high beam of hid) and between low beam wire(wire which was comming from bcu and going to the low beam of hid) than everything was working on the stock switches ,only when i raise my engine to 4000rpm.. this is because diodes were lowering the volts like if 12v coming from battery than diodes r giving 11volts and when i raise the rpm the voltage which is coming from diodes goes to 13v and then again hid glows....... so i need some thing which works like diode but doesn't lower the voltage & amps.....is there any electronic circuit to stop back flow of current...............
