Neat and proffessional wiring, installation. I just love the discreet & cleverly inverted switch position where no water seepage chance but that switch was not reliable in my experience. Try water proof rocker switch in case it fails. U can also do a silicon sealant treatment over a std switch so that it can be true water proof.

BTW, is the APE RR bolted to the body properly? And whats the CT & bulb base of the aux HID? 7k H3?

              Hi sajjt,

you are right, sometime the switch does miscontact sometimes.yes I am in search for a good switch.

Searched a lot for 4300K CT H3 bulb but ended up buying 6000K because of non-availability.I already had 4300K H7 wid me but was not able to fix into the Aux or find suitable housing.and low beam cut-off is also taken care by using a custom shield for the bulb.

BTW now in bangalore majority of the stores @ JC road are having China make Bi-xenon projectors for fitting it to bikes, price 3000/pair.

RR is bolted by using a good Horn clamp for accomodating the RR in to that tight space and is giving good output of 15.8V max.

Thanks to Ape RR horns are louder and road is lighting up like never before.

                  Hi doc,

                  The answers are in bold.
                  1. are you using 2 rrs or simple rewind+ape rr
                  yes I am using 2 RRs,one is lighting coil+avy rr+nightbreaker=city+highway use. second one is charging coil+Ape RR+battery+50%HID(low beam)=highway only.
                  1. what aux is that, from looks of it it looks like fog or flood beam, not a high beam/spot beam
From beam pattern it's an spot beam but, with custom built shield for making the setup as fixed low beam.
                  1. are you using relay
Yes, it's the same one I posted earlier.

Yes I'm from bangalore, and no issue with CT(colour difference is due to the camera effect) as well as glare, as the beam is focused well infront of the bike. will post the pics later.

The reason behind neat wiring is the Heatshrink tubing, which I purchased online.it made the job much easier.

                  Thank you.

Yuck... 2 RRs hmm.... no comments...

Which spot? Autopal? Let me have the specs pls.

Am bored with my laser spots, its time for a change.

Would love to see the shield too.

Do u get those heat shrinks in loose meters? Here its available only full reel? Can u post the link of the online store?

Is it Deal Extreme? If then I got it by now, but now deals are not that easy as the RBI has given specific instructions not to deal with Paypal thru CC's for intl transactions. U need to do with the bank directly which makes impossible as the min bank charges is 1.1K

Luckily I didnt've any balance with Paypal now else it would've gone for a toss.

Guys, any of u can guide me a good aux lamp that can serve as a good high beam too?

Drji, how about a DCM H4 on crash guard? Would u recommend?

                      Hi Sajjt,

Well 2 RRs, it's a long story with bad ending turned into good.this is best solution for my problem+limitation.

Actually Me too have no Idea which Brand is the spot. it doesn't have any name on the spot. I just gave my H3 HId bulb to the store guy and he picked this spot and fixed the bulb into it and glued the openings free of cost. he took money only for the Spot.

the shield is a simple metal tube with half portion cut axially and one end bent outwards similer to this one in link(link has H4 shield mine is H3), but I have fabricated it from sheetmetal.

                      (Google Image Result for http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/images/103016/103016-320.jpg)

The heat shrink tubing I got from a Ebay seller from bangalore.here is the item Ids 180579858662 and 180579858940.

Nice to hear that its available at Ebay.

I would be happy to hear the back up time from the HID as its charging from just 3 poles. I guess u'll be using it on highways and not so frequently

It looks like Autopal spots but then it should be there on it. May be some unbranded one, how much u paid for it. Can u post some close up shots of it also why dont u post some beam spreads too.

Please help. Any diy will also help but would be helpful if statements could be accompanied with illustrative pictures. Thanks in advance. :-)

Whats his budget ? You will need a minimum or 1500rs for converting to DC which includes APE RR - 1111rs, Coil rewind and other tit bits 400rs.

Other cheapest way to simply make the headlight and pilot run on DC but here your battery can't sustain the load.

This thread has a detailed explanation on how to achieve full DC.

I am not sure if UG4 RR unit is direct fit.
