Feel real sorry for you Yes the Full Synth oil from Mobil 1 for 4 stroke bikes is the Racing 4T 10w40 and i reckon it's one of the best out there. Could you ask them to replace the one you've bought with the Racing 4T ? (as you haven't tampered the seal i guess) But chances are, they won't be having it.

Anyways you didn't use it on your baby R1, that's the best part.

I don't know when these, (not all of them) people, the one's at the SVC's and shops are ever gonna learn!
they will never learn and the ignorant people like us will get the beating.
Thanks to XBHP that I came to know about it before filling it in my Bike. also many people are saying that there won't be any damage other than "cultch slippage". by the way what does clutch slippage mean?

I don't have a car to use that bottle of Mobil 1. and I don't know what I am going to do with the bottle.....maybe go down to the svc and makethem drink it.

As far as I've come to know from the internet the primary purpose of oil in a wet clutch (used in motorcycles) is to act as a coolant. It flows around clutch/friction plates and cools them down. This results in smooth clutch operation as well as life.

Automotive oils contain friction modifiers as they employ dry clutch. These oils, when used in a bike, causes slippage of the clutch plates and make them run hotter and reduce the components life.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

so, my Rs.1150 was not spent well then
tried to give it to a person who is going for servicing his car but came to know Cars need 3L of oil and my bottle is only 1L. maybe will use it for some other lubricating purposes but too thin to use on the chain I guess.

P.S. & O.T.: for Car users, 1L bottle Mobil 1 0W40 oil for sale (unused with bill)

I sincerely hope some one would come up and buy that oil

BTW, I am happy that you own The 1's (R1), little bro (only diff is 3 cylinders knocked off !!!) and glad that i own the RTR 180 which according to me, is the best sports bike next to your ride and that's a big deal (Not to offend any other Bike Owner here, it's just a humble IMO)

Enjoy, and as you say, Ride Safe.

I think Castrol Activ Xtra 10w30 would be a good choice But i don't know whether it is completely mineral, because the pack says 'with synthetic technology'. Also Castrol recommend to check the level every 2000km. Pack comes in 900ml. If you are going for it, pick the genuine Castrol itself. I am from Trivandrum, so can't help you find it at B'lore

On second thought, do you own a Honda CBR 250 R? If then, Honda might be having their own mineral oil right? Would it be better, to go for that one

Yes I do own one, Honda recommend their throttle 10W30 semi synthetic. But i want to use mineral oil for a while before start using semi synthetic and full synthetics for ever.

Seems to me it is a mineral oil for 4 stroke bikes and a basic one at that

Is it new one? Currently I am using Petronas Sprinta 5000T Fully Synthetic. Price is almost same. Must check if the shop I visit has them.
