I have been using on-road ones from Studds and SOL since a long timeOriginally posted by xpranav View Postboss I was only wondering why would someone wear an off-road helmet for on road conditions

So now switched to these offroaders
They definitely are lookers
Depends rather on your choice until an off-road thing does not hinder your visibility like the vega off-road ones.
Hope I dontOriginally posted by prateek2210 View Post^^and all the best if you crash someday wearing these plastics
Atleast am a sane rider,to prevent that
You really got me worried

1) We wear helmet for our protection not for others.
2) "Off-road helmets", I hope the name itself is self explanatory
3) No matter if you ride sanely or not, other people on the road are not saint.
P.S : The negatives of these plastics have been discussed to death on this thread, and I really don't want to go into that againFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

You've just upgraded from one plastic mug to an decaled bucket. Not to let you down and I have no rights whatsoever to comment on an individual's discretion but I can help make that discretion a better one.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostThats my old Vega Off-road

Yes they are lookers, yes they cheap, yes they are cool but THEY AREN'T the best when it comes to impact protection. This topic has been debated and the points are tabulated long back on what's the difference between motox and proper full face helmet. Check it out if you have time.
pranav, you can check back quite a few pages back why some senior members and I have quoted the difference between both the helmets.Originally posted by xpranav View Postboss I was only wondering why would someone wear an off-road helmet for on road conditions

Re: Helmets
Lol..plastic mug to decaled bucket , couldn't have been more subtle than that. Nothing else needs to added to this explaination. Hope people understand it.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostYou've just upgraded from one plastic mug to an decaled bucket. Re: Helmets
Will upgrade to a Studds Scorpion or LS2 soon. Couldn't source them, until then, its better wearing these helmets rather than nothing
At my place there is lesser traffic,i mean just 15% wear helmets..and NO SHOP HERE STOCKS ANYTHING ABOVE STUDDS,VEGA OR SUCH SMALL BRANDS.....am wearing much more gears like gloves etc because thats what I learn here at xbhp. I am just 18 and I think its better for me to save some bucks and go for a helmet worth 6-10k bucks later so that I have really something to value
That is my thought process.
So thats the helmet I will be using now. I bought it for 2.2k a year ago.
And I will always be using an offroad helmet 75% of the time..because
1.thats got better airflow
2.i dont ride at higher speeds
3.Sun peak
4.a good tinted visor
Any other differences to point out..except the aerodynamics ??
PS sorry for bad dirty pic. just took it out [emoji14]

Re: Helmets
Both Sparx and SOL are good helmets. Genuine SparX costs a little more than SOL. If you can wear them both personally then go for which fits the best else, go for SOL it's cheap compared to SparX and is good.Originally posted by Touseef Ahmed Mohammed View PostHello Bros.
Just wanted a doubt to be cleared.
Around a price range of 5.5k, Which Helmet among these two is Better in Quality??
SOL or SPARX ?? (without pump)
