But yea have to check for the durability too if buyer can in front of seller.
    I wasn't able to do.

Attractive isn't gonna work all the time. I used Vega GP 500 for close to a year, bought it for 400 bucks and it did its job well. But the quality isn't that good compared to Studds, even on my Ninja is a kick ass helmet and now both are resting peacefully in their graves.

But I agree, if you're a little stern on what you what you can almost always either buy or walkout from the store.

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I am not sure if that was Cara or something..but when I went to buy a helmet, I saw a Vega lid priced at 2400. It was definitely attractive but one look at the quality of the padding, and I was convinced that LS2 at 2500 is WAAAAY better than Vega at 2400.

My Vega Formula 1 GPs padding was at it's worse. Gave up after three to four months of usage, but I used for well over year. And I can still feel how it stinked and how loose the front padding (the ones near your mouth was) give it a little pressure and it would almost peel.

I still remember using ANABOND and sticking it but that too gave up after I washed the helmet and upon drying you can see it peeling back once again. That's when I decided to spend some more and get something protective ( at least than a bucket)

        Cheers!

boss I was only wondering why would someone wear an off-road helmet for on road conditions ?? Can you kindly point out one significant point to avoid wearing a full face helmet !! as I am yet to come to terms with these off road helmets

I have been using on-road ones from Studds and SOL since a long time
So now switched to these offroaders
                  They definitely are lookers
Depends rather on your choice until an off-road thing does not hinder your visibility like the vega off-road ones.

Now that you have mentioned why you went for these plastics, let me explain you something.
                    1) We wear helmet for our protection not for others.
                    2) "Off-road helmets", I hope the name itself is self explanatory
                    3) No matter if you ride sanely or not, other people on the road are not saint.

P.S : The negatives of these plastics have been discussed to death on this thread, and I really don't want to go into that again

You've just upgraded from one plastic mug to an decaled bucket. Not to let you down and I have no rights whatsoever to comment on an individual's discretion but I can help make that discretion a better one.

Yes they are lookers, yes they cheap, yes they are cool but THEY AREN'T the best when it comes to impact protection. This topic has been debated and the points are tabulated long back on what's the difference between motox and proper full face helmet. Check it out if you have time.

pranav, you can check back quite a few pages back why some senior members and I have quoted the difference between both the helmets.

Will upgrade to a Studds Scorpion or LS2 soon. Couldn't source them, until then, its better wearing these helmets rather than nothing
At my place there is lesser traffic,i mean just 15% wear helmets..and NO SHOP HERE STOCKS ANYTHING ABOVE STUDDS,VEGA OR SUCH SMALL BRANDS.....am wearing much more gears like gloves etc because thats what I learn here at xbhp. I am just 18 and I think its better for me to save some bucks and go for a helmet worth 6-10k bucks later so that I have really something to value
                            That is my thought process.
