So far it has fared really well but instead of giving segmented reviews, I thought after weeks proper use, ill put up a comprehensive review

I'm posting this here as the Gears maintenance thread is pretty silent...

I've been looking for a reputed leather cleaner/ conditioner for use on the Spartan Hyperion jacket for the leather part. I have to wash it as it's quite dirty and as I had stored it in the carton in monsoons, the leather got covered in mold!

The 2 brands that were suggested are not available in malls/ stores in Bombay- Leather Masters and Lexol. In fact they are tough to find even online...
I found Lexol on vicky dot in but after accepting my order they inform that it's not in stock and are offering me this- Meguiars - Leather Conditioner
However I've not heard about the product though the description seems fine- pH balance and all.

Leather Masters is available on few sites but it is very pricey!
I also came across 2 other products in the malls here-

"Force1 Home Care Leather Cleaner"- Found in HomeCentre section of Lifestyle, this seems to be more for leather upholstery than leather garments. Have no idea how gentle it is on the leather etc...

There is this German brand called WOLY Combi Cleaner. This seems to be a quality product but again have no reviews to verify. It's there in a small handy pack that is just right for my needs tho...

I have to choose between Meguiars and WOLY. Can anyone help me make an informed choice? @

Meguiars is a reputed brand for the automotive and detailing aftermarket. I believe 3M owns Meguiars now, and their products are top notch.

                  @DeVille .......... I think I can rescue this thread for some-time now .............

When I had joined this Biker's forum (read Platform) I was some-one who had a fantasy for both cars and bikes (right from teen-hood or may be childhood). I first had to learn the discipline of this place to know the way how I should interact. And then began the journey of learning about the necessity of ATGATT. Though I have a bike with a little heart (read 125 cc), but soon with every breath I wanted to make sure that I buy the necessary stuffs.

In the beginning I was having a Vega "Shadow" (fortunately it was ECE rated) and a pair of pro-bikers gloves (which was wearing out). So in a few weeks of joining I bought a Scoyco MC08 due to financial constraints and it was an immediate need (though VJ sir had suggested me to go for an all leather pair of gloves ).

So began the days when I took over the mission to make sure that I will save and make sure that I at least buy a genuine (if not premium) stuff. And fortunately I have made a purchase today too. So here's the list of accessories joining the party after I initiated the "Mission Raksha" ( Raksha in Hindi = Saving in English) (Please note that saving and savings represent different meaning). I am utterly thankful to everyone contributing on the forum and many special thanks to Sunny Sir, VJ Sir and Prat bhai for all the eye "opener" replies

                  1. The first was SPG Icarus

I was recently looking to buy the new half-cuff from SPG when the moment I had tried the ARES ....... boy...... I fell for it ................... it has a premium price over the competition from Cramster and DSG but it is worth it specially because of the feel of the leather. You can feel it at the instant if you try them one-in-one hand.

That's all for this time and thank you for bearing with my celebration.

                        Guys ,

After quite a bit of brain storming , I'm settling for SPG Achilles. Don't have the budget for Hyperion at the moment and hence settling for Achilles. Black looks really good. Please let me know if this is a good choice and any points I need to consider.

                        Thanks for the help.

Well, yes that's true. BUT I read this experience y'day after I made the post and I'm quite petrified- Problem with Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
It ruined the bloke's Merc seats! The same issue may repeat itself as the leather on my jacket too is perforated.....and being new to leather cleaners, it's a headache I don't need. I think I might go for the Woly Combi Care

How good are the Scoyco K10 knee protectors? Has anyone used them here? I have been hunting for a good knee protectors since some time. Didn't like any of Cramster, Axo, or fox. I saw these Scoyco K10 knee protectors here in Hyderabad and tried them. They appear lightweight and comfortable. Any reviews?

The overview on SPG web says "An all textile vented jacket designed for cooler weather, provided with the best in armoured protection" ................ I guess it will be a bit difficult for you to use it all around the year.
