So the battery may not have enough juice to run ANY 35w lamp (halogen or HID whatever) for more than say about 15mins ... ok .. got that .

    b) This combo HID+halo bulb is a great idea for my kind of usage !!! Thanks bhai !! What's more , even if my battery happens to runs out of juice , I can still ride back home safe ( albeit a bit slowly ) on the Halo filament running off the alternator !! Now you gotta tell me where I can get hold of this thingy and for how much ( in Calcutta if possible ) . Does phillips / osram make these thingies ?? ( I am wanting a 35w Halo+HID combo bulb only )
Halogen with hid are available everywhere in the market. If you dont get it & if you want a reliable hid ping me

Planning to get the Hella Optilux Model 2020. It has both driving beam and fog beam. Looks tiny and cute. My whole idea is to bring down the fairing of my ZMR and use this. Can I source it in India. Reviews ? Can it serve the purpose if I get rid of stock headlight ?

Shreeni these fogs look good but the issue is the hid bulbs dont fit in straight . u will need a H3c bulb . H3c bulbs are expensive. I am sure u wont use the fogs with normal bulbs :P .

7 am is more then enough. you need to convert your bike to dc to install an hid .
Check the AC to DC thread . You will get a lot of info there.

Hey is it from Hella? And how about the beam spread pattern? Have a look on this

Hella FF50 Most compact aux lamp with a nice pencil beam, makes a hole of 5K on ur wallet. And this is available with any Hella dealers. It uses a H7, so any point of time you can think of a H7 HID which is easy to source.

It will be a nice blend for any bike on crash guard especially mounted on the top of it.

I got this one from a shop near SP college, a bit ahead of Grahakpeth, on the left side of the road (exactly in front of one chinese or unbranded electronics shop).

Also u might get this in another shop on karve road which is just ahead of Sujata computers, on the left side if u r in the direction towards Deccan.

I guess this is recently launched bulb, coz earlier it used to b in different package mostly a pack of 2. So probably u may get it in most of the shops (except Nana peth coz none of them hav Osram bulbs, they only keep chinese bulbs)

                              • I recently installed an HID in my bike........now the problem is that as soon i turn on the HID my bike's horn almost stop working and in just 2 mins time my complete battery stops working including the HID.When i asked the person who installed that HID after 5 mins inspection he says that there might be a problem in your battery. But my new battery is just two days older than my HID.....i am confused because if i uses my bike without turning on the HID its battery is normal........so guys please throw some HID (oops!! light) to my problem. Its really urgent as my semister exams are going on and i don't have enough time to tinkle in between that HID and battery.
