its not possible to change single beam projector into bi-xenon. In bi xenon projectors, high beam works with a shutter that controls by a solenoid (electromagnet) coil. When its charged, it became a electromagnet and shutter opens. In some of the projectors motor also there to open the shutter.Originally posted by roshanvallappillil View Post______________________________________________

hello.. i just want to know how can i bypass my BCU in full dc setup..i have pulsar 180 ug 3 model..as i want to install hid currently using 60/55w halogen.. i referred all previous post from other members but cant able to by pass bcu as it senses the current..yellow wire which comes out from the stock rr and goes to the main wiring.connected that to batt positive via ign switch..
results : headlamp continuously burning when switched on via stock switch..hi/lo beam buttons not working and if u switch off the lamp, still its burning until i switch off via ignition switch..
i dont want to change my switches with contact one like in older pulsars..is there a way to fool BCU by removing the wires of headlight and connecting them directly to the battery using same switches..as i don't want to spoil my stock looks for pulsar..and i re-winded my stock coil all poles to 19 gauge wire 70 rounds..so there is no light coil and battery coils separately..there are only two wire now positive and negative which is connected through ape rr to battery for chargin..and of course ign coil is untouched.
1: can i replace my stock BCU with ug 4 full dc BCU..? is it a direct fit or any mods needed..?
2: can i do the headlamps with any alteration in switches or BCU (stock)....?
3:if i remove the BCU completely can i used the same switch setup then also after removing this stupid thing called BCU..?
4: since i have re-winded my coil all 7 poles to one common output...can i feed the battery via ape rr for charging and the headlight (AC) from the coil directly before connecting to ape rr..?
any help will be appreciated..!!! thanksDon't drink and drive, you can smoke and fly...!!!DRIVE SOBER!!!.Always Wear A Helmet :)

Hi Roshan,Originally posted by roshanvallappillil View PostI have made an angel eye by myself....
I will post the photos now, and will explain the steps...

I too Tried and implemented the same,
In my case I used similer set up like yours, it conked after two days of installation. and its big pain to replace once installed inside headlamp....
Lesson learnt= these LEDs are very sensitive to fluctuations. and in your case need 3.2+3.2+2=~8V for two LEDs in series and Exactly 20 milliamps of current.use some sort of electronic passive/active Current+voltage regulators Like, LM317 in conjunction with LM7805.Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

Hi All,
Today Replaced the OSRAM Night Breaker headlamp(fed up with Low road illumination) with PHILIPS PREMIUM 55/60W in My pulsar bulb cost Rs80 @ JC road.
the performance is Far Far better than nightbreaker and gives Good usable illumination too.I suggest this bulb to all who can Run 55/60w in their bike.
and one Lesson learnt is, Replace Pilot lamps with LED ones even if you upgrade to AVenger coil plate in Pulsar, coz the Stock pilot lamps suck up 15 watts of power from headlight coil itself.(point to be noted is that Avenger doesnot have 2 Pilot lamps and seperate Rear number illumination Lamp)Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

Lets take this over PM. HH passion+ Headlight is dim
Hello Brothers,
I need your precious help. I am from Goa. I own a HH passion+.. My headlight is now so dim that I find it very difficult to ride.. I have to travel 35 km on highway to office from home & back...70km everyday at night (working on US shift).. It used to be bright enough when i purchased on Jan 2010.. but now I dont know what happened cant see the light falling on road... I have been diggin the forum for last couple of weeks... couldn't find something suitable for a complete rookie like me.
I have changed rectifier a week back but to no effect.. and mechanic told me that the light is ok.
.. but it was during daytime he said that.. at night I am again at the same issue. Also the bulb is stock...I tried some other bulb as well but reverted to stock as they are all proved useless...
Its a matter of life for me.... even though I ride at below 50km.( It takes 1.30 hrs for me to travel 35 kms as I am concerned for my family & children... )
Can please help me, as to what can be done to get the light back to previous state at least.. or to improve it better than it used to be.. but i dont want to go for HID or white lite (afraid of cops)... a step by step guide is welcome... hope you guys find time to help me..
Regards and thanks in advance...
Rakeshkumar V Shenoy..
P.M... fed up with all Mechanics I met until now.. they cant even read properly..
If anyone knows an experienced & knowledgeable auto-electrician in Goa.. Please let me know..

What bike is it?Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

u can go in for a stator rewind and RR change & then install 55/60W headlight.. That, according to me is a good option.Originally posted by meltingheart View PostHello Brothers,

can I buy rewound stator instead of relying on mechanic
Hello Abhijeet,Originally posted by Abhijeet Bhattacharjee View Postu can go in for a stator rewind and RR change & then install 55/60W headlight.. That, according to me is a good option.
thanks for the quick reply... If you know any mechanic in Goa who can do this precisely please share information about him as well... I have a question on this suggestion:
* stator rewinding need skilled and experienced mechanic.. and it is a hard to find species... So my question is whether any already rewound stator can be purchased across the counter???? (or online)
* second question : is there a requirement to replace reflector in-order to accommodate the heat of 55/60 bulb?
Please advise..
thanking you again for your time..

I guess its with your driving style ie; low rpm rides will contribute less power from alternator. Your avg speed is less than 40kph which means you have to improve the speed a bit more say at least 50 kph. You are still responsible even on 50KphOriginally posted by meltingheart View PostHello Brothers,

To cover 50km its taking 1.5hrs is too low avg.
Just follow the tips:
1. Change the bulb with Philips H4 35/35W (Germany) which is considered to be the best for stock condition.
2. Try to stick on low beam as its the driving beam for low speed drivers AFAIK, you can see the pot holes more effectively.
3. Tilt the HL assy bit more down to get a better low beam spread, mostly are aligned to parallel which will not give a good low beam.
4. Ask your mechanic to clean up the stator coil and the magnet properly, there may be dust accumulation which will reduce the output.
5. Plug in the connecting sockets properly with a small amount of Vaseline gel after cleaning the sockets with petrol and a tooth brush which u can do at home. It will make sure the contacts are proper and corrosion free.
I don't think rewinding will improve the lighting much for a HH P+ as some one mentioned here its got only one pole for lighting which is almost full.
Lets know the outcome once u do thisDo it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

and I din't know that HH P+ had only 1 pole for lighting...
if so, my suggestion won't be much of a help then... sorry!!!

Bumping up and old query. I have a Hyosung Aquila GV250, now it takes only a 35W bulb which is pretty inadequate at the speeds the bike is capable of. If I can't see a pothole at a decent enough speed, my chances of riding the bike remain low
I know that stock replacements can't achieve much of a difference. Are there any 35W HID solutions that would work well for the bike?
