Origional stock parking lights are 12v 3w & these led's are 12v 1.9w , so there is 1.1w of power is saved .
Or maybe the one I have is brighter. It may only be 13-SMD, but it's 2.9W giving out 185 lumens.

• I want to modify light setup on my R15 for improved visibility and looks.

I have a few queries for that:

1. Can we fit Projectors with normal Halogens? would it be able to improve visibilty and reduce glare spread?

As told by many; HID can't be used for flashing, so, not willing to move to HIDs (I prefer flashing much more than honking and use flashing in Day as well as night because I run on low beam mostly);

3. Can we use 35W HID for low beam and 55W halogen for High beam (both with projectors) as in R15, only left headlight is used for Low beam and both while on High beam.

4. I also want to replace the stock parking lights and tail light bulb with LEDs... where can I find retrofit LED (as shown in previous posts) parking lights in Delhi NCR

Power dissipated is given by I*V = I*(IR) = I^2R & is expressed in watt ,
where v = voltage , i = current & r = resistance
so more is power dissipated more current drawn & resistance offered . Not brightness .
Can't say about lumens as i don't know whats is lumen of 38 smd led & what lumen is mean

I think its the unit of light intensity. Correct me if wrong

Yup, it's the amount of visible light given out by a source.

Or as the Merriam Webster dictionary says: a unit of luminous flux equal to the light emitted in a unit solid angle by a uniform point source of one candle intensity

And as per my research, the 38 SMD 1.9W LED gives out 171 Lumens.

And I was always bad in math, just know the basic stuff.

• HID on p220

I got this H6 H/L (Moving type) HID KIt for my P220 . The Shop owner told me that It is H7 and has universal converter base pins . I connected the the wires to the battery and then the upper dipper to the H7 connector of the headlight harness .The upper beams remains on continuously and the HID Binks after 10 secs . What would have gone wrong ?

• Ok. So, to install these T10 10SMD or XXSMD LEDs, we need to change the holders right?

• No T10 SMD LEDs fit perfectly in the stock pilot lamp holder.

T10 is actually the pilot lamp socket name

• Will they fit in my RE C5 pilot lamps? Because, my pilot lamps use the traditional holders.

Oh and one more question actually. I have already installed a HID on my C5. But I see people getting uncomfortable on the road when I pass through with the headlight ON because of the unbearable glare on the stock reflectors. So, I was kind of thinking of switching to projectors. So, can you tell me if I can use the current HIDs wiring, bulb, ballast, etc with the projector, so in this case, I only have to buy the projector without the HID kit(although that is impossible to find). Is that possible?

• Hey Guys,
Are there any state/city where the use HID with or without Projector have been illegal?
One of the cops stopped me today & told me that city police of Pune are charging fines for riders who are using HIDs in their motorcycles.
I'm using Bi-Xenon HID Projector
Regards,

• Projector lamps with halogen bulb ?

Hello friends,
I would like to install a projector lamp for my Honda Unicorn 2008 model. Is it like I can only use HIDs with projector lens?

What I wish to do is that, I install the projector lens and use the stock halogen bulb with it. If I arrange such a setup, will it be producing sufficient lights on the roads, as well as, will it be having both low beam and high beam ?

If not, will I get proper lighting if I change the stock bulb to Osram night breaker ?
