    Hi Chandrajit,

All UCE engines are the same so run-in period for all UCE will also be the same. If electra's thread is not that active, have a look at TBTS thread. You can find much more detailed info there. like what all things need to be checked while getting the delivery. Right now I am li'l busy with my office stuff, so can't find out and post here. That's why suggesting to go through once...
BTW, it is 40-45 kmph till 1000 km, and then 75-80 kmph till 2000 km...

        lol....

Even i think why are they not having an increasing number of pages for TBTS and RE ???

Ownership section has come to hault or slowly walked either.

RE is now one of the booming motorbike company. People here in india have been inclined to RE more than ever in these few yrs after the launch of Classic models.
Infact people are accepting the waiting periods of the classic and other models too.

I always wanted that RE ownership to fly with all colors and their tour, etc.

Come on RE guys write more and more!!!

My friend wants to buy RE thunderbird 350 he's confused if he can handle it.

          He's 19yo, 5'6" 72kg

          Currently rides bajaj caliber

Anothr bike he's considering is avenger. But he's inclined towards TBTS (he's RE fan)

Nothing in this world can't be done? Yes your friend can handle a RE TBTS well and ride like any other RE biker . "Once a Rider is always a Rider" read this as someone's smart lines. But this is absolutely true. I used to Ride Bajaj Aspire 110cc (2001)and rode my friends Yamaha R1 to Nashik and Harley 883 to Rajashtan Currently own R15 2010 model. So if you are confident then you can ride any bike.

Ask him to go ahead and book the bike and thump it well !!

But remember RE looks Good from outside but it needs a sheer dedication and treatment like a family member then only it shows you the right Power and Cruise all the way in your life.

Apart from RE all bikes are like "Fill it / Shut it/ Forget it/ Ride It"

RE is RE in it's own term, every serious biker wants to have a RE in his collections at least once !! so go ahead and enjoy !!!

One thing i din't not understand....

You booked RE CL350 in Jan , you call up in march and hear that yet 8 months to get RE CL350 , So you get irritatted by waiting period and cancelled the booking instead bought a R15 V2.0

              Very weired !!!
Why din't you go with TBTS ?? same engine more reliable riding style and miles to achive and proven design with Machoness.

Or Why not an Awenger ??? These two were cruiser segments????

How can a person comprimise on it's choice. The choice is not RE but it's a crusier. And you went with Sports ??? What made you take this decision. converting your choice/decision from Cruiser to Sports??? only the waiting period ??

How can a man be comfortable with Sportz position or riding style when he had choosen Cruiser style.

Are we now a days are like fast option people. If we don't get this then we ll buy that, Even if that's not our style. Only we have to buy so we are buying/eating it???

I thought/assumed India is on a path where people take decision with proper analytic survey and requirement.

This kind of decision in haste later repends and we don't have choice. Choice is a choice and heart will beat for it later or sooner, what will you that time??? sell this R15 V2.0 ??

Even i a R15 owner and i am very Happy with my bike very good relation. Even i have booked CL500 waiting for it. Just wanted to have both the styles

@All Xbhpians Please buy as per your need.

                Advice requested on bullet purchase

Dear All, i am new to xBhp. I have decided to own a bullet. visited Legend Motors (Royal Enfield at Tambaram). Thunderbird Twinspark, Electra 350 & Classic 350 all are appealing. I have not done test ride on any of these as they dont give for testride on sundays and after 5.00 pm in weekdays. I will be heldup in office till 8.00 pm everyday. I have been riding TVS Victor for 6 years now so new to Bullet. Once when i was there in the showroom, i was able to talk to a mechanic and a thunderbird owner. Mechanic told me that other than thunderbird all the other bullets visit workshop for one or other reason often. Thunderbird owner also obliged the same. He also added some more information like tyre tube for thunderbird and clutch will run out of stock sometime and we will have wait for more than a week. He iterated one instance happened for him. He said he always carry a tube and clutch wire in his bag wherver he goes in his TBTS. His TBTS is 1 year old and looked dusty (threats me will she go old in 1 year!). He also told me thump is missing in all the variants. Classic 350 have the chance wherein the chasis getting damaged bcoz of poor ground clearance. This all lead to confused state and i started thinking of dropping the idea to own bullet. But still my heart longs for bullet for that royal treat. What the most i expect from the bullet is 1. Comfort for both , 2. Old look, 3. mileage not less than 45.
Please suggest which variant should i opt. Or should i opt for some other commuter segments like RTR 180 now coming with ABS for nearly same amount of money i would pay for bullet. Please help...

I doubt on tube matter, i haven't heard such issues in any RE thread yet, non availability of TBTS tube ??

I differ here at this point. I have seen TBTS more appealing on roads and well maintained rather than any other RE's. This is totally how well you care for her! RE not like other plastic bikes that you forget to service her periodically, etc....You have to take care of her rather than any bikes. Then she will show her magic to you!!

Have you ridden RE earlier ?? i don't think so that you will ever understand the missing thump unless you ride some of the legend REs. This is entirely RE Fan symptoms (Thumping Bug:-who by birth start relationship with RE, they understand the thump and live with it always).

Can any RE CL 350 or 500 can clear this point. haven't heard of chassis damage !!
I think this is entirely non existing !!! But still need any RE owner reviews on it.

Absolutely made for this only, close your eyes and rely on RE for this!!

there are people who claim getting 45kmpl some times but only on highways, not always !!

But yes you would get something above 40kmpl on highways and 35kmpl to 38kmpl for sure!!! again depend on riding style.don't rip it you get good one!!

Friend there is now substitute for RE in the RE price!!! All bikes which full RE desires are above 6L.

You can't compare RE's any model with any other bikes in india. They are totally different.

And yes engine and performance are same for Electra/TBTS/Classic/STD.

So if you don't want to buy CL350 after one yr then go for TBTS or Electra or STD.

Else if you can wait for 1 yr waiting period than you can go CL350.

                    Happy thumping

mileag of any UCE engine are very same. though different models/looks.
Electra too would give an average of 30kmpl-38kmpl in city and 40-45kmpl on highways. 350cc giving these figures are real technology!!

But you need to learn the art of fetching the most of the mileage by 350cc at lovely speed.

Electra is a best option today when there are waiting period of >12months for CL350!!!.

I am confused between Classic 350 and Electra ,
I love Classic and My dad says Electra :/

I am shocked !! After owning a TBTS you want to go Classic/electra ??

TBTS is one of the best cruisers in india with complete satisfaction!!

                                Classic Vs Electra War hmmmm.....

Anytime Electra !!! Because in few yrs Classic would be very common on roads!! like pulsar!! Electra and STD are ever green from long yrs. But still we see less electras as compared to STB or TBTS.... Now we see TBTS or Classic or STD.

Electra has more better Dimension as per RE fans lovers!! Big tyres and Crome!! Electra's rear seat is much comfortable for pillion then CL

Your Dad is absolutely right in choice. Any time a born Bulleteer would love Electra or STD only. Classic is modern time choice.
Go with Dad's choice you won't regret! Let your dad too live his share of biking with you!!

Engine wise each bit is same as Classic or TBTS.

If you really want to go for Classic than go for it. many few people can get Classic 350 in 1-2months but after that what ??? Classic would be very soon in every one's house.... Now it's RE time!!
