@roadripper - Why do a dyno test, its 12.3bhp at the wheel man for the p180 v2. Thats the same for your bike as well. Also the dyno is not available for all, prior appoitment and availibility has to be checked.

^NOt very sure about the speedtest coz I have some other plans for sunday. But I will do the dyno test on saturday hopefully. The GPS is a better device but its just that at times the signals give way. Mainly coz its on the outskirts.

hmm.. nope i think it'll be 16.xx bhp at the rear wheel atleast coz the karizma has 14.2 bhp at the rear wheel and distance between p220 and zma on drags give an estimation of atleast 2-2.5 extra horses on the 220..Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostHas the 220 even been put on a dyno??
If yes, lemme guess...how much 15bhp
??
@ joel
u sure that its 12.3 @ rear wheel for a p180? coz i remember very well the overdrive dyno test of P180, unicorn and zma.. and p180 was quoted 12.98 bhp at the rear wheel which is ~13bhp and karizma was 14.1x something..Fun Starts at Redline!!!

The loss percentage for the Zma will be lesser than that for a Pulsar....Pulsars loose out quite a bit.Originally posted by road_ripper View Posthmm.. nope i think it'll be 16.xx bhp at the rear wheel atleast coz the karizma has 14.2 bhp at the rear wheel and distance between p220 and zma on drags give an estimation of atleast 2-2.5 extra horses on the 220..
I would'nt be too surprised if it showed a less than 1bhp difference between the ZMA and 220._________________________

The P180 that joel is talking about is the same bike as the one who's readings came in Overdrive ..Originally posted by road_ripper View Post@ joel

I took Hydro's p180 for the Overdrive dyno test. Both he and me know what the dyno result was. I dont remember the exact decimal point, but it was 12.3x bhp at the rear wheel. Now the company claimed figures for the p180 back then was 16.5bhp. Karizma is 17ps which is approx 16.6bhp.Originally posted by road_ripper View Posthmm.. nope i think it'll be 16.xx bhp at the rear wheel atleast coz the karizma has 14.2 bhp at the rear wheel and distance between p220 and zma on drags give an estimation of atleast 2-2.5 extra horses on the 220..

The karizma had the least transmission loss of all the bikes. It was around 14.5 or 14.6bhp at the rear wheel.
Pulsars generally have a lot of frictional losses, and again the company quotes exaggerated figures. The p220 and p200 is never 20/18bhp respectively at the crank.
Why would a p200 get beaten by a 16bhp RTR then? And why does the P220 barely do 130kmph true?
And lets not assume dyno figures. It can always surprise or disappoint you. Its a big deal if the P220 can cross 15bhp at the wheel, however the torque levels will be way higher than the karizma for sure.sigpic
