I am gonna try the 9-amp battery soon. Right now short of Vit M.

Enough of lighting we have with ONB, lets enjoy that. You know, more is never enough for us. Even though, Karizma is not made for the 55/60w bulb, it is sustaining the bulb very much and we should be proud of that. It is not the case with other bikes.

      • hey do u guys suggest changing Eng Oil after the 1st 100kms on the odo? or do i go along with the service schedule (500-750)...

I bought my bike y'day evening.. had run 20 kms to petrol bunk and back home from showroom.
and today clocked 86 kms more :-) . no body ache at all!!! awesome comfort.
still have lots to learn about maneuvering in the ghastly city traffic. getting the hang of it.

There's some screeching noise from the front cowl noticeable at 2k - 4.5k rpm range at all speeds... as if some nut is loose and the 2 plastic surfaces are vibrating against each other. will have to get that checked.

And the gear shifting too has become a bit notchier... esp 1st and 2nd. hope this is just cos my babe is still breaking in :-)

It will be really good to change the oil at 100-150km. Your hard gear-shifitng will be eased a bit. Use only HH mineral oil 10w30. Make sure the engine oil manufacturer is not BP.

The virbation thing is a small one. Go to service center and rectify it.

              • question on the 9 AH battery - is it a direct fit or do we need to make adjustments to the battery compartment. Which brand is recommended?

slightly OT, but have been pretty bugged with the cabbies (with their high beams) at night. Anyone game to split a 60/55W bi-xenon HID kit? kit would probably cost 8k (I guess)

                • 9amp battery size is different than 7-amp battery. The 7-amp battery is more flatter than a 9-amp battery. You have to do some juggad to fit in the 9-amp battery in the 7-amp battery compartment. There are people who fitted 9-amp battery in Karizma.

sarbanes-oxley, I do not know exactly whether fitting a 9-amp battery is helpful, particularly in cbz-x.

I am going to fit a 9-amp battery in my Karizma to see how it performs.

The thickness of the 9-amp battery is more than the 7-amp battery. So, a part of the 9-amp battery will protrude out of the battery compartment. You cannot lock the battery with the metal sheet lock. You have to use some elastic type of lock to keep the battery in the compartment.

that's just a switch... there's no other problem other than inconvenience of holding clutch... telling this as you might want to hold this for a while... recession times

I had the same kind of issue on my ZMA. If it is the same problem, engine has to open to solve this issue. A small plate needs to be replaced. That costs only 5 rupees I remember.

My bike was under warrenty so SC guys have done the service for free. Only I had to pay the plate charge. Other wise this costs around 750 rupees. Your bike is in warrenty period I guess, so you can consult the SC people. I have done it in MM SC.
